Minigames: Probably not. MK:DA and MK:D minigames won´t probably return. There should be something special instead (´the August surprise´- but I´m not sure if it´s minigame.)
Impaling: It wasn´t mentioned yet. Only 2 things we know about are ´breakers´ and new ´parry system´.

I enjoyed imaling in Alliance...though I think you should have only one chance to hit them...'cause it was pretty cheap...I'd prefer it if they didn't have it to be fair...

Yeah some impalements were actually kinda cool. Frost and Li Mei´s or Kitana´s for example. Or Sub-Zero who could impale them and then freeze them and waiting a little while to drain their life further more.

Impalin' was kool cas it was one of those things at my house were if someone impaled I'd win even if someone else impaled other than myself. I'v only been beten once at my house.

...I kind of liked Chess Kombat...but it got old quick...and was a cheap way to see fatalities...I wouldn't mind something better and original...

the impaling was fun but, i would rather keep my weapon in mka concidering u only have two fighting styles in the game, and it justs seems more right to have ur weapon on u rather then in the person's stomach in my opinion

I did like the impale system, though it could be abused far too easily. If they did bring it back, they should adjust it so it, as max, drains them down to half health or something. Or, they should be able to remove the weapons and stop the bleeding, but it takes a few seconds to do so, allowing the impaler/opponent to stop you.
As for minigames, I wouldn't count on it. However, there is still that feature the MKTeam's not talking about until August which may be a minigame. Apparently it's supposed to be "funny".

Me too...I forget which interview or wherever I heard that from, but I also recall them mentioning "Cooking with Scorpion" in the same conversation around the same time. So I am really at a loss as to guessing what that feature is. All I know is, if it is meant to be "funny", then there's a lot of room for it to be a disappointment.

...agreed...it sounds like a mini-thingy it could live without...just give everyone original costumes instead! Ah!

Amen to that. New costumes (at least ONE new one) for every character would be much prefered than a failed "funny" feature. I concede that Cooking with Scorpion was a riot every time, but it's risky to put some much time and effort into such things, as well as building up suspense about it for so long.
