...yes...I am afraid that this will be a major flaw...creating a fatality sounds fun but it can't be what it sounds like...if we're lucky they will pull through on a level we can't argue...

yea from what ive seen they have realy messed up with the new "inovation" of the new fatality system and im saddend 4 the last game to have such a bad system

Well, I can understand where most people are coming from on this. I mean, if this is the system as it's current form on E3, I know I'm going to miss a lot of the classic fatalities that were on previous games. Sub-Zero/Scorpion's head rip for example (They shared it, so I'm going to give it to both), who isn't going to miss that?

...true...the fatality system was the oldest tradition of MK...now it seems they've completely evolved into the new generation...classics gone...

I don´t mind the fact classic fatalities aren´t presented as far as I can still effectively kill my enemy. I was even kinda bored with only two (or even one in MK:DA) repeating fatalies per character. I love variability and I´m sure the new system will be well balanced (with different moves for each character). They said it´s their main focus so I doubt they would mess it up.

Times are a changin', guys. Yeah, all of old sea dogs are going to be bitter about change, but change is probably going to keep this series alive.

Look at the Friday the 13th series. It sucked ass after the fourth one (with the exception of VI). Why, you ask? This is because it was the same thing over and over again. The "progressing story" was awful. I think Jason X was a prime example of how far downhill the series went.

Point being, change is good.

...I understand what you mean...but getting rid of all the characters is like it not being Jason and not having any classic settings is like Jason not having a machete or a hockey mask...it just kills the purpose...

Totally agreed. They should have some originality still left in the series just that the series has gone far from the original story line. But I don't see what this has to do with fatalities. My opinion on fatalities in Armageddon is to have the costom fatality and the sequence fatality. So you have a choice if you just want to wack the guy/girl upside the head to finish him/her, choose your way of slaughtering them, or watching a good sequence of a fatality. To have more in this game would make it better. Like I've been saying, the more you have in this game the bigger it will feel and thats what I want for this game.

I think they should just have only one fatality system in Armageddon, otherwise that would be total chaos. We should just try the new fatality system and if it will be good, then they should save it for future MKs. And if not, they can just change it back to the old system in MK8.
That would just kill the purpose of their effort to create something new, if there would still be the old fatality system Wink

Yeah. I suppose. But if my idea was the case, they should have it where only players can use the create a fatality and not the CPU. The CPU shoulde use just seqences... Now that idea makes me wish they did have both. What would be chaos is if they had a create a hara kiri. That would be crazy. Especially if they had both seqences and create a hara kiri.
