I just got Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for the Xbox. I've been playing through MKII and then I get to Kintaro. I've tried to beat him with everyone, but he still manages to beat me. I need a strategy to beat him. Can anyone give me the ULTIMATE strategy to take this BEAST DOWN???!!! He's just too hard without any good advice!! All the strategies I read already proved to be useless! For example, read this: "Try sweeping him with the tip of your foot. He's a sucker for that!" Sure... He flattened me... I need help bad. Can anyone help me?

This works good with anyone, jump at him and when he is about to do a move, jumpkick him. Be baraka against him, he's the best when Kintaro is about to jump on you because you can do the blade fury before he is about to jump on you and it hurts him, so yeah, thats my strategy.

Is there an easy way to beat Kintaro with Reptile? He's my favorite character and I kinda want to beat it with him.

You now what man I got the game to and I can't even get to Kintaro it's just so damn hard!!!!  but I will tell you what I think will kill him with reptile before he even attacks you use the acid spit the second the timer goes on and keep on doing that until he dies hopefuly he staggers the acid a little so it gives you enough time to shoot again goodluck!

I wish it was that simple... Beating Kitana, Mileena, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, Baraka, Scorpion, Raiden, Reptile, Shang Tsung, Jax, and Kung Lao (especially Kitana and Mileena!!) is hard enough with Reptile. It's gonna take alot more than acid to take that gargantuan beast down.

...I take offense to that misterboner...you can search on the internet for random strategies though people here will tell you what to do with what character 'cause they play it too...perhaps not with Reptile as much but that's hard to find on the internet!
...though I don't have Midway Arcade Treasures II...if I did I'd get on and tell you the best way but when I play regular MKII I basically just do combos then run back with everyone...sure I die a lot but eventually he gives way...

I tried everything... Reptile just doesn't have the move set to take Kintaro down.... Yeah he's my favorite character, but he just isn't good enough to beat Kintaro... I heard Kintaro is a piece of cake to beat on MK: Shaolin Monks... WHY IS HE SO DAMN HARD TO BEAT ON MKII??????? GOD IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why don't you try to kill kintaro with the strategy like onretilom said?
use baraka and try to kill him if you do when you move on to the
fight with kahn let him kill baraka and go back to the selection screen
to pick reptile thats what I would do,

...I don't know about y'all but I wouldn't find it fulfilling to beat the game with Reptile but know you didn't beat Kintaro with him...though I understand your pain...Kintaro is the hardest boss...just keep trying...takes brakes when you get too frustrated...combo, run back but then run back again real quick or he'll get your ass...it takes a while but sometimes it seems like it's impossible...

Don't feel too bad. I haven't been able to beat MKII on any system but my Sega Game Gear to this day. He really is a difficult bugger to defeat, especially since you don't have combos in MKII yet. You just have to keep trying.

I'm gonna have to agree with Amphibious there
you have to keep on trying until you beat him.
I had the same problem but with a different
game it was Killer Instinct,I had to beat the
boss it was a pain in the ass because he can
refill his life bar but eventualy I killed him
so you are not alone.

Well, I'll be honest with everyone. I beat MKII on the SNES once. The real crazy news was that I beat it when I was home from school sick with the flu. I had the flu, yet, I still beat MKII on snes. But when were talking about the quarter stealing arcade version, were on a whole different level. On Midway arcade treasures 2, you can change the difficulty setting to minimum, but that really doesn't change anything. Once you get to Mileena or Kitana (even if one of them is the second fighter on the list) it gets hard. I can't even sweep kick Kitana or Mileena cuz they then they always throw me when I do!! IT'S MADNESS!!! And they bad news is Kitana is a real ass. Same for Mileena. When there's a stage fatality available, they don't hesitate to use it. Shoot, I once lost to Baraka and he didn't use a stage fatality. Hell, he didn't even kill me. Baraka looks like the most merciless fighter on MKII, but he didn't kill me. Kitana and Mileena always gotta find some way to kill me!! When there's no stage fatality available, they kill me themselves!! I constantly get blown up, decapitated, eaten, and stabbed. They never turn me into a baby, or do something nice. Kitana never bakes me a cake, and Mileena never plants me a flower. You'd think that when I played as Liu Kang that Kitana would bake me a cake, but nooo! She decapitated me!!! But when my nephew fought against her with BARAKA, she baked HIM a cake!!! Kitana baked BARAKA a cake yet she decapitated Liu Kang!!!! IT'S BAFFLING!!! Whether the game knows I'm playing, or there's some f*cked up s*it in the MK world. Oh, but it doesn't end at just Kitana and Mileena. There's also good ol' Kintaro on the quarter stealin' arcade version of MKII. I'm gonna ask this question ONCE and ONLY ONCE. Did Midway purposely make MKII arcade into a quarter (possibly dollar) stealin' machine?? Cuz if they did... then they were real jerks back then.

I hope you were talking about Killer Instinct gold because that was easy.
But if you were talking about the first one with the two headed boss I'm
gonna have to disagree with you. That guy was harder than shao khan
plus the fact that he can refill his life bar. But for some I guess it is easy,
it all depends on how you do your combos.
