Shao Kahn...what is he?
...it doesn't make sense that an Outworldian man is able to rule Outworld and slay Onaga...
...this is a question I've had for a while...are there any facts on his race? Is it stated that he is a regular Outworlder?
...anyone have a clue?

I belive he is just a really powerful outworld human. And he didnt really 'slay' Onaga, he poisoned him.

...of course I have Sir smile-a-lot...and vain...it has been discussed that Shao Kahn never poisoned Onaga...they actually had an all-out brawl...(I described it as well as I could in Ch.2 of my fan fic.: Titan Lords)...
...though I still find it hard to believe that Shao Kahn can be considered to be known for his 'mind'...he seems much more like a brawn guy...

It´s as much hard to understand how could Kahn defeat Onaga in battle as to understand how sould Liu Kang defeat Goro. And nobody is wondering how could Liu Kang defeat the big four-handed creature. They aren´t real people in real world. So just get over it or get over here?

remmember kahns ending in mkd when he uses his hammer to knock onaga onto goro fangs...he probably would have done something like that....and lets not forget Sha Kahn is the original mk boss....actually the "boss" of the boss (according to john vogel)..so u can expect him to be really mighty!

I'm sure it is said in the SM story (i know it's not iorn clad or any think) Rayden is saying some thing like Shao Kahn was once an advisor to the realm of Outworld similar to Rayden in Earthrealm. this to me sounds like Shao Kahn was more god like than a normal outworld humanoid. then like rayden in MK-D something hapened that made him snap and lust for power him self

Kahn was Onaga´s advisor, then poisoned and killed the Dragon King and became Outworld emperor himself

Detail about that story: Onaga gave Shao Kahn power as he was of the strongest generals under his power...I'm assuming by this Shao Kahn somewhat mutated and became far more powerful than he was as a mortal...then Shao Kahn slew Onaga...it was never stated that he poisoned him...that was just a fan-based rumor...

I would swear, that the fact Shao Kahn poisoned Onaga was mentioned in the game.
In addition this info can be found on all MK sites and it´s even written in MK Pavilion Plot FAQ, which is considered as one of the most canon MK source by many fans.
Can somebody help?

I realy what to know this as Kahn has been one of the most intersting players in the history of MK...
I also liked the Idea from MK Conquest that Kahn is not a true imortal but reaches imortality by stealing the soules of others for him self.
