...actually...from what I've read and seen...Rain is brought up far more...even while preparing for Deception there were much fewer discussions about Ermac (though it was a popular discussion...Rain still comes up far more now)...Rain is just more popular...I'm not saying better as I like Ermac more...but Rain's fan-base cannot be touched by Ermac...

I noticed that Rain and Ermac are similar in alot of ways.
Ermac and Rain both have moves that send them flying way up,
they both have low projectiles,
and they both have teleport moves.
Not to mention the fatalities. Both explosions and decaps. But who cares? They are awesome!
Its too bad that Rain looks all regal in Armageddon. I just went to K-A-F and made a cooler version of him.

If he meant better as in more powerful in gameplay, than he'd be right. Rain beats pretty much everybody but Noob.

How powerful they are depends on how good you are with them when you play, and I'm the best with Scorpion, and Sub-Zero.

That is incorrect. Some characters are more powerful than other characters. It's just how it is.
For instance, if I am playing as Liu Kang, there is no way for me to kill you by landing a single midscreen attack unless it's a bike kick interrupting an attack and I am using autofire.
However, Rain can kill you with a fairly simple infinite if he lands a jump punch, straight up jump kick, standing punch, standing kick, roundhouse, lightning, or projectile.
That is why he is more powerful than almost any other character.
What you say would be true if all characters were completely balanced and no characters were given any advantages. But that's not the case is fighting games usually, and definately not the case in the MK series.

What is balanced?
Rain and Noob are both unbalanced. Rain's roundhouse does roundhouse damage, but it's faster, and leads to infinite. It's the most powerful roundhouse in the game and it's the fastest.
Noob's projectile is the most powerful projectile in the game and it also has just about the shortest startup. So it too is more powerful and faster.

I agree. Rain is the not only the cheapest but the weakest ninja as well. the storyline wasn't so good I found ermac's much more interesting

It's just a broken move, lol.
His roundhouse should have been a special move but it wasn't. That's one of the reasons he's broken.

I'm not all that great, but I know I could beat the majority of the people here.
2-D only. 3-D MK is terrible and broken.
BTW, if you want to play a MASTER on UMK3....play EWAShock on XBL. TEST YOUR MIGHT!
