...unfortunately I highly doubt Monster would be brought back over Meat considering demand...
...I guess people prefer large chunks of Meat that steal moves and has no purpose rather than a false Scorpion kinda guy with a back story...

Didn't we prove that Monster was actually Scorpion, which is why he had the same moves and claimed to be the true champion of the elder gods? The only reason he wasn't flat out Scorpion is because it would give endings away.

...that debate never ended...though it's hard to dismiss...
...just another thing the MK Krew didn't really consider...they made the costume that they wanted to scrap...so they threw him in I assume just as a challenge and didn't put thought into it...that said...I assume storyline wise...he's just some random guy...
...and Scorpion's moves just seemed to fit...no one else's moves would've worked for the character...

I've read what Mooneye had to say, and I must agree with some of his points. I remember reading on the internet that Meat was a hidden character to play as in MK4. It didnt say "Play as a skeleton skin that replaces your fighter", it said "Play as Meat" in that definition, he would be considered a character in my eyes. All fighters who can be played as or unlocked is considered a character to me. Mooneye makes a good point about Reptile and Jade, both are well respected fighters in the MK universe now, but at one stage they were un-original palette swaps with no back story at all. Even if meat was just a skin that borrowed moves, why judge him for it? Reptile borrowed Scorpion and Sub-Zero's moves, but had a different colour. Jade borrowed Kitana's moves, but was also a different colour. So in that sense, I think Meat is considered a real character. He may borrow people's moves, but so has Ermac, Reptile, Noob Saibot, Jade, Smoke, Shang Tsung and Sheeva (stole Goro and Kintaro's teleport stomp) all of which are classed as "real characters" now. I agree that Mooneye shoudl not have insulted you all, but he does make a valid point.

...I'm sorry but most people who seem to take that side never used Meat...you have to understand...everyone was Meat...all Meat was was every other character without skin...it used their moves and is not considered unlockable...he's a glitch!
...Reptile and Jade gained storylines...Meat did not...therefore they have not declared anything official...
EDIT:
Considering my last point concerning Monster...he could not have been Scorpion considering Shujinko did fight Scorpion after defeating Monster as he claimed the same thing...I don't think he was given a second chance...

when i played as monster with my action replay he had the three styles, combos, and special moves. like he was playable. the other people who arent playable(frost, dramin) had like no moves.
he must be playable in the game!

And wasnt Ermac once considered a glitch? Yet look at him now, hes a character and a popular one at that. If Boon is considering adding Meat to the game's roster then that obviously means he's considered a character to the MK team.
So he was ever other fighter but without skin......Noob Saibot was just a black scorpion, Smoke was a grey scorpion with smoke rings emitted from his body, Reptile was a green pallete swap....so was Jade, my point is that most of todays classic fighters were at one stage spawned from another creation. All of the ninjas used the same attire but with different colour, and some of them started off with no storyline at all. Meat uses a skin, and has no storyline. If the rest of the fighters mentioned above got their chance to be characters then why cant Meat? They all started off the same way he did.

i don't ever remember ermac being considered a glitch. the thing about meat is that he isn't a character. he could be a hidden skin in mka but that's all. i don't think the mk team will make meat a offical character. man i can't wait till october , then this mess will be sorted out.

...I'm not saying Meat can never be a character...what I'm saying is that he's not officially a character...yet...
...they made Ermac an official character in UMKIII...though Meat's never received any moves or storyline...and isn't a character...
...and Meat and the others are different...the others had their own look...everybody was Meat on the inside...and every character could be glitched to be Meat...though even Ermac could only be seen as a Scorpion glitch...

Yes, but we (or at least I) weren´t considering Ermac or Blaze real characters until they appeared as regulars (or ´hiddens´) with real names
To all: This discussion is endless and repeating. You know- one will call him character, another won´t. One wish to see him in MK:A, another does not. We should just respect other´s opinion (not like somebody who created this topic and was banned  ).

Smiley has a point, some class him as a character, others dont. I actuallly couldnt care if Meat was in Mk Armageddon come to think of it, its not like I ever even played MK4 to see him! But I debate for the sake of character, and I hope in my debate I got my point across well enough. Once ya all see where im coming from, then thats cool with me.

...this 'thing' is Liu Kang...without skin...and another time it's Kai...without skin...or even Shinnok...without skin...
...'Meat' is not a character...not even near one...would you say Leg was a character if only a character's leg was showing? Perhaps...but that only proves that we shouldn't be listening to your "point"...
