Is it just me or do more guys like Mk than girls? How many girls are even members on this site? As a girl, I have to say that a lot of girls that I know would rather see Cage with no shirt than use Scorpion's fatality to rip someone's head off. Does anyone else have an opnion on the matter?

...actually a lot of girls I talk to like MK...but the fact that more guys are willing to join a fan site makes sense...come on...it's MK!

Well, I it was actualy my mom that got me into MK, so there is a female player right there. And she would join this site, but i never let her have the computer X_X

I'm a girl!  I only got into MK properly last year, though, when I went on holiday to Dubai, and played it at my friend's house there.
I guess more guys do like it, possibly because there are a large number of prissy girls out there who just go 'Ewww, ewww!' at seeing MK being played. And that's just the fighting. They'd probably scream at the Fatalities.
I love Fatalities. My sister is one of the 'That's disgusting' people, especially when she plays Ashrah, and then I chuck Ashrah into millions of different Death Traps.
Looking at my class at school (I go to an all-girls school), I can see why there are more guy MK players... these girls find anything disgusting.

Well more guys do like MK than girls because of the violence and the gore that this game has. Heck I dont even know anyone here from where I am that likes MK more.

Well, thats cool that other girls play Mk. I'm just like the only girl within a 20-mile radius who plays Mk, and I get guys ticked when I beat their butts at it.
More girls need to stop being sissys though, and just try to play the game...lol, maybe with the blood switched off.

...many guys consider gaming a 'profession'...we study the arts and the storyline as if it depicted our future...
...though the girls that are fans just play...therefore they don't need a site to talk about it...they just want to have fun...we take work too seriously...

You think we don't take it seriously?!?!?!?! I'm like obsessed with perfecting every aspect of Scorpion on any game! If anything, girls that actually play, get MORE into the storyline than guys. If something sad happens, then we get all "AWWWW!!! WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE???" I'll admit, ive cried a few times when some sad stuff happens.
Do guys ever cry or something when like your fav char dies or something. Or are ya'll just like 'aw man'. Maybe i just get too into the game. o.0

I got into Mortal Kombat last year and I am a very proud fan. I like everything about it. It's just a great game...
And, I'm a girl (as everyone can see that.)

I've been into video games since I was probably about 9ish. I can't say that I'm a hardcore gamer or really good at any of them... hell, I play most things on "novice" or "easy"... I harbor no delusions for my playing skill... but I do enjoy them on quite a regular basis.
and enjoying games has ultimately lead me here, with all of you fine people. =D

My girlfriend absolutely loves MK. Js the other day she was complaining about how she didn't know as much as I did about it and she demanded that I sit down and ask her hard questions and teach her a bunch of stuff.
It was a beautiful moment.

...I love it...I think when they die it increases fan-base...I'm not sad until they're not in the next game...doesn't look like I'll have to worry about that for Geddon...
