Yeah, same for me.
My brother's used to winning, as he always picks Scorpion and never lets me play as him.
So when I do beat him, he throws the controller on the floor and storms out the room. ^_^
I agree with girls needing to play more. Just put the blood on min! Don't turn it off - wean them onto maximum blood. 
It's not just guys who study storylines, Kombat-Krave. When I like a game a lot (e.g. Final Fantasy X, Tekken, Street Fighter) I learn everything about the storyline and my favourite character(s). I used to do that even more when I was about 9. I have yet to study MK, though. Will do soon.
I've never had a favourite character die, but I don't cry. I may get a bit 'Aw, crap' or swear if I really liked them, though.

Your view of gaming reminds me of my own.
I've loved videogames since I was about 3. I didn't start playing them myself till I was about 7 - I used to just watch my brother. I carried on watching him play the game and play myself till I was about 11, and now I just play myself. I always put the game on easy because I'm not too great.

I've been an obessive female MK fan since the first one came out (my sisters are casual players who love the gore and never apolgise during a match)

I hate the Chaosrealm, because when I was playing Konquest, the key portal I needed wouldn't work no matter what.
So that ruled out any awesome new stage for me.

Havik is the reason I fell in love with the chaosRealm too... well may be the fact that when I tumped a chap in chaosrealm he turned and thanked me ha that was wicked.
You girls who play MK in the UK should come and rumble with my clan. only two of us are bad ass game players the rest pllay for fun when they can.

The funniest is when I punch the lights out of someone and they go "Good technique! Attack when unprovoked" - Hotaru.
Or when they say "You'd be even better if you took lessons with Master Bo' Rai Cho *get into fighting stance*".
The stance makes me laugh. What normal person would do that after being violently punched?!
