...my church was PISSED when they saw Mortal Kombat under interests and hobbies...they claimed it was 'evil' and maintained a 'positive attitude' towards Satan...
...they didn't even mention fighting and violence...though probably 'cause we just watched the Passion...

I don't see whats so evil about it...its not evil.
For instance, Quan Chi probally doesn't think he's evil (though he probally knows its wrong...) but thats just what he thinks is right. Sub Zero fights for what he thinks is right, but to someone like Shang Tsung, its the wrong direction for someone of his power to be going.
Isnt church sopposed to lead us in the direction we're going? Well, I personally don't believe in god, so i probally have no clue what im talking about....

...I don't believe in God either...though I know more about religion than the damn priest...I guess not many aetheists read the bible 'cause they think it was a good book...
...it was! It is very positive and insiteful...I just don't believe a damn thing it says...
...they consider it evil as it proclaims there is a rising force from Hell (the Netherrealm) that attacks Earth and spreads its ways...so technically...Mortal Kombat does spread a wide variety of evil...though if you haven't noticed...the message is: Good wins...

OT: yay! im the only aetheists at my school, so im shunned for it and have no friends 
but should't churchy people be thankful for mk? i mean, its kinda like jesus...no matter what happens to liu kang, good always finds a way to come back and kick evils butt! isnt that what jesus did, but just without the fire???

...basically...NO...though I don't like to mix religion with MK...basically...Jesus only made followers...and never kicked anyone's ass...which is why I always assumed he was a very scrawny man...and weak...
...he shunned violence...so they shun you...I'm sorry...that's really crappy...there are many aetheists down here...no one is shunned based on religion or race...unlike where I used to live in Italy...I love it here...

...so...I think it's hot that girls play MK...have favorite characters...get excited about the games...pay attention to the storyline...

lol! Ya one of the first things i ask when i try to talk to a guy i like is "do you know mk?" his answer most likely determins if we ever talk again.
But all the guys i know around here are more concerned with mk girls boobs then the game itself...really pisses me off how sexist they can be...

...nah...that was never my concern...besides...the 2D girls really didn't do anything for me...it wasn't 'til Frost came in...then everything changed...

Frost pretty much does it for the guys...lol
but most girls just look for a guyl's body, this topic extends far beyond mk. its a serious problem, or i think it is for a girl to just think a guy is good because his body is nice
if scorpion had no skin, im pretty sure he'd be a skeleton or whatever. it wouldnt matter. even if he looked like dramin, it wouldnt change who he was or what he's fought for or how far he's come. id still like him.

Im a girl and yea i have to admit not many girls are into it but i think that because they dont know about ive been playing it since i was like 6.
I have to agree girls can be so preppy about it and all be "ew gross" they just dnt appreciate it

I know, it sucks. I wish the MK ladies would have less revealing outfits, so people concentrate on the amazingness of their moves rather than boobs.
But then MK sales would probably be about 90% less than what they usually are... *Sigh*

i disagree there is no need to have them in less reveling outfits un less they make a female player the size of Bo rai cho. Big girls should cover up, the rest of you should show what they want. Skin!!!!
any way If I only perchest a game to look at BOOBS!! N other bits. I would buy Dead or Alive beach vollyball or somethin like that. Most MK fans buy MK for the story lines, Blood & Death. (it is nice to have some eye candy tho)

...wow...you don't give men credit...for most guys their original intention for MK is blood and gore like they said...the boobs just seem to fill in any voids...haha...I love the storyline...I don't need boobs...hell Sheeva is my favorite female character...and I've never really been into gorilla boobs...
