when if at all will the third motal kombat movie come out. any time frame would be nice even if it is aroud 2008 thats still fine. but when i was wacthing an interview on youtube from TMK and they said that it was going to be shot in lousiana but since kartrina, and thatwas basicly it. all i want to know is what is the staus on the movie can anybody tell me.

They are still in pre-production, working on the script. I guess they're watching not to screw up like they did with Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

I doubt that's the case, considering they can only do what their budget allows. If they only have enough to pay shitty writers, then it will be shitty. Annihilation looked like a Power Rangers movie because their budget wasn't as much as the first film.

Actually, the budget in MK1 was 20 million dollars and in MK2 30 million (links below), the thing is, in the first movie they didn't have to spend that much money on CGI and sets since all the action happened in very few places, so it looked much more credible.

Then the budget doesn't explain the crappy script. Do you know the budget for Devastation or are they trying to keep that a secret...as if they're hiding something?

Well, Universal studios did spend 150 million dollars to build the studio in Mississippi, then again, that damn hurricane...
