This petiton is for X-Box 360 backwards compatability, currently no MK games work on the X-Box 360 because Microsoft have not put out patches for the system. Patches are needed for X-Box games to work on X-Box 360. Midway have asked M$ to make a patch for MK:Deception with no luck, so now Midway are asking the fans to get on board and get this petiton rolling with lots of signatures, if M$ make a patch for MK:D MK:Armageddon will most certainly work as well for 360.
I know I may sound a bit calace at times, and signing is of course optional, but honestly, signing it shows support of MK not just of X-Box or M$. Just because that is the console envolved in this situation doesn't mean thats the only reason for signing it, If this was a Sony matter I would sign it, and I hate Sony with a passion. Why? because I see it as raising support to play MK on a variety of systems with out such hurdles as this.
I put the banner at the bottom because anyware else would be in the way, I made a news post and threads on the site...not much more I could do. Agian, If I seem a bit angry, It's because people from the site showed the least support so far for the petiton and that was really disapointing for me. I was the first Website approached about this at E3, even before MK Online were told about it, John Podlasek had told me prior to ther arrival on Day 2. However MK Online did a great job organising the scripts and keeping it as joint effort in getting MK working on more systems.

wow... why does Microsoft have to suck so much? I don't understand the purpose of making a console that doesn't support its own games. then again, this IS Bill Gates, our ultimate moneymaker, that we're talking about here. >=(

I aggree, and thats why I want to shove this pettion up there ass so they actually start to support games. The way I see it, signing this doesn't just mean you are all for M$ and X-Box 360, It shows that you support MK first. You support the freedom to play MK on any system you wish, in this case X-Box 360. Supporting the freedom to play MK on any system you want, thats worth signing right?
By the way I want to thank everyone that started to sign it, the e-mail was quite effective, our signatures jumped from 14 to 83. I am hoping for more, comon peeps!

That was my exact reason for signing. I may not like the 360 (Nor the regular X-box) but MK games should be avalible to all consel players.

An x-Box does not have the architecture of a PC. It does not have an AT-based design. It does not have an ATX/MATX/BTX type motherboard. So on and so forth.

Yes it does, the shape of the PCB is differant, it has USB ports...it has power input, av outputs, DVD Drive and interface ports. An X-Box really is a cut down PC. I used to upgrade PC'd for a living, I see an X-Box and a PC they really are practly the same.

Yes, but the definition of a PC is clearly stated. It is the form that was created from the original IBM PC, which contained the 8088 processor and chipset. It is incorect to call any other form of computer a PC. Even a laptop is not a PC by definition. You would be safer saying that it's a windows box, as that would be more precise, and I'll agree that it has many functions similar to Windows.
(Also, I work full-time for a major company's IT department, and I'm going for a bachelor's in Information Sciences and Technology, as well as Computer Engineering. So it's not like I'm pulling this out of my ass.)
