Heck, even Baraka makes a good role model. He's cool, a lil mean, but knows what he wants. There's a person for everyone, even if you swich between role models.
Sometimes people go through a fad where they like one role model, then the next day switch off. MK offers all kinds of people so no matter how cunning or crappy you're feeling, you can relate to a character who's sharing your emotions.

...so why did they make Kobra? I guess some people like weak idiots as their role models...

Hey, you never know. A lil shy person may like Kobra at first. Then maybe by playing mk, they get into other people and open up. Then before you know it Johnny goody two shoes who likes Kobra is getting his toung peirced claming to be Scorpion...  Could happen...

...still...why would Kobra ever be anyone's role model? If they want to look like a wannabe ninja they can copy Johnny Cage!

Ya, thats why they have to make the good guy go toward evil at some point. then they make him come out of it and it proves that he was truly for good the whole time. I mean, being a good guy forever gets boring after a while. When one gets tempted by evil, then gets out of it, it better relates to actual people because no body is good all the time and we all have to fight of what we think is bad at some point.
or you could just get some cool costumes on those shaolin monks and volia! instant rolemolel!

i think reptile would be a pretty good one to as far as loyalty gos and stuff you dont have to worry about being assasinated by him if your an ally and stuff and he looks cool and hes sort of evil.

as far as morals go, I would say Kitana is a great role model. she's smart and stays true to her people and her cause...
but Mileena. seriously. the woman OOZES confidence, despite having a physical mutation. she dresses like she wants, and knows she looks good. she's just... *sigh* I wanna be Mileena when I grow up. <3

as i said, there is a mk rolemodel for everyone. and many, many people look up to mk fighters because of their bravery, loyalty, or many other traits.
thad be awsome if a bunch of cool people dressed like mk people for conventions (i mean if they really looked and acted like them too) and people could actually see their hero in person. it workes for superman, why not mk?
