mine mk role model is sub-zero i mean who would want to be him he can freeze ppl and he can pretty much do anything that he wants and he can overcome anything that gets in his way and he is definatly and better role model that scorpion i mean scorpion is only good for one thing and that is to be annoying and fight ppl all the time

My Role Model is Scorpion, first of all his finishing move then also his "Get Over Here" move, Scorpion is truly awesome...Why would anyone want any other?!?!

I think sorpion is a great role model, because he shows that family comes first.

I think Reptile in once sense, because he's very misunderstood and is a little insane. He's so alone because his race was exterminated, and yet he's willing to continue to serve those who wiped them out, because he knows how to survive. When you think about it, Reptile is very crafty in that he's been able to survive where everyone else in his race (Khameleon as the exception) was destroyed.
Now some of you may say "he died in MK2, look at Shaolin Monks". However, if you referr to his MK2/MK3/MK4 bios, he never actually died. Even when he was rescued from the Neatherealm by Shinnok, he was sent there not because he died, but as punishment for genocide against several races over the years.
Back on topic about why Reptile is like a role model, is resourcefullness and abilities to survive despite all odds, and his misunderstood, mentally ill characteristics just speak out to me. He does what it takes to survive, and does it willingly.

Next would be Rain. He also has the ability to put aside personal vendettas to survive by serving the Emperor of Outworld, knowing that a united order, united realm, is far better than rivaling divided ones. He serves the man who had his father murdered, and continues to push for Outworld dominance over Edenia, which would put an end to the war between the two realms.

Lastly, and most importantly, Smoke. He stuck with his friend against impossible odds, knowing that he was turning his back against the Lin Kuei. He stuck to his principles, and did what he could to help his friend escape, until he was unfortunatly captured anyways. Despite his machine body, his soul remains within him, and he can still fight his programming. Smoke is a lone warrior and continues to search within himself and throughout the realms to break free of the confines of his cyborg body.

I may have extrapolated and expanded Reptile's reasoning and motivations a bit, but that's because I have a pretty strong understanding of psychology/sociology/anthropology for someone my age.  That's my interpretation of Reptile which is why he's kind of like a role model to me.

...you may see your role model as one who will fight to survive though I've always been one to see a role model as one who will fight for what he believes in...loyalty...honor...pride...vendetta...no matter how great the pains you must suffer and ill the odds have collided against you...such as the Outworlders who rebelled against Shao Kahn and his unbeatable forces...because they know the purpose is right...

Yeah, but those are my own morals. There aren't very many good role models in MK because they're all out killing and fighting.  And fighting for vendetta, pride and honour isn't necessarly a good thing. Fighting to protect other people is, and fighting out of loyalty is also one. But the other 3 aren't really good reasons for fighting. As for the outworlders, they will fall to the might of the great Shao Kahn and his armies.

...I didn't mean they have to fight for 'good'...I said for what they believed in...and vendetta...pride...and honor are definitely all things you believe in...as for the Outworlders...a lot happened...and it turns out they were fighting on Shao Kahn's side at the end to slay Onaga! So what now?!

I am not a realists or deal with facts, but I would say my role model would be raiden. He can teleport to the beach, out of work etc... lol I am lazy.

...considering Rayden's the God of Thunder...the whole role model thing for Rayden being 'cause you're lazy and him being the interpretation of responsibility don't really flow...I don't think he's using his teleport to shop for groceries in just seconds or go to the beach as he feels or cut in line at the DMV...but he should...

MY role model would be Shoa Kahn. Hes an emperor for goodness sake! How did he get that place? By perserveering (I hope I spelled that right). The one I wouldnt choose is Shinnok. Because he got demoted from elder god to god.
