are we talking about characters in terms of personality or gameplay?
if we're talking about gameplay, then to me, Mokap was pretty badass. I really liked the combination of styles they put together for him. when I'm bored, I like to break out DA and give it a go with Mokap or Blaze, just for fun. =)
but if we're talking about personality and storyline, then yes. Mokap is pretty much worthless.
we needed Kobra in Deception to bring Kira up the ladder for the Black Dragon, so he did serve a purpose, even if it was death. =)

Omg Meat is stupid he wasnt even a character in the first place he doesnt really have much dignificance its only to do with Reptile's fataliy.
I hate Bo Rai Cho too yea yea i know he place a significant part in the story blah blah blah but he still sucks i mean come on what kind of a pathetic atempt at another form of fighting is drunken fists its just not logical.

Also Meat is just like Reptile in MK1 and Smoke in MK2. He had the moves of other characters and was basically just a different colour pallette. Granted they had their own names, but it's basically the same thing - no story and same moves as other characters. They need time to be developed, and this is Midway's chance to expand Meat's story. |

..."no story and same moves as other characters"...granted both characters I would've considered characters during their release becaus they had names...Meat isn't even the 'chunk of meat's' name...he's not a character until the MK Krew says he's a character...now he is...but I'm still waiting on a name...haha...
...and after looking through some renders...I guess Drahmin looks basically like a chunk of meat as well...it would've been cool if Drahmin was just Meat and they could get that over with...but that helps prove Meat will most likely be an oni with a similar story to Drahmin...

If i had to name one character that i've actually played as that i wouldn't want in the game it would be Kira. all she is is an evil Sonya. She has THE MOST predictable moves of all time. The cannonball thing should only be for Kano(looking at Jarek as well), the dragon teeth should, only be for kano, and her stupid perfume stuff is only there because she's a girl. But if i had one character that i haven't played as(and trust me there aren't many) to not be in the game it would be Hsu Hao. WORST. COSTUME. EVER.
