I'm sure most remember the release of United 93 as it was popular, and I'm sure most have realized the upcoming release of the World Trade Center.
I let the former go without mention. As furious I felt, I would not conceive my thoughts into words. Though when I saw the trailer for the World Trade Center I literally stood from my seat and screamed, "Fuck you!" followed by a half roar, half round-of-applause from the encompassing audience.
Few notice or give mention to why this movie was made: money. As many movies are, though some deserve respect. Both of these movies have been released half-of-a-century too early. There's no respect or pride. What happened on that flight and in those buildings is only to be discussed in a non-lived basis. These movies are a disgrace to the American name.
If you object to my opinion that's okay, though I will not show respect or compassion for anyone without a reasonable arguement. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

you know, I was saying the same thing to Marcus when we saw the United 93 trailer about how the movie was being released way too soon. I feel that when people whose families were hurt by what happened on 9/11, they're going to dig up very hurtful memories that they may have just started to get over. it's been less than 5 years, for god's sake.
give it time to become history, not just a recent memory. maybe if they released a movie when we get to be around 40 or 50, then I'll have more respect for the industry. but honestly, this is kinda disgusting. >=( _________________ Nikki: your friendly neighborhood moderator. ^_^

...I have several friends who said some interesting points...
..."They should at least wait 'til kids were intrigued about it in text books" and "The next generation that didn't live it were the ones that were supposed to film the movie"...
...I guess film companies have never heard of 'mind over money'... _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

Well if you think about it a Film about World War 2 wasn't realeased till at least a decade after but a very realistic ones that could of hurt people didn't come out for half a century. Another example is Munich which has only recently gotten a film (about 30 years it has been) it is definately too early for a film about something so terrible that has only happened 5 yeqars ago (less than even). _________________ Yippie Ki Yay

If I had seen a film ten years after WWII I would've been pissed then too...
...I don't mind documentaries as it is necessary to be told...and side stories are fine, like how families lives were affected and the power one people can create once joined...but for an actual movie, a studio-shot, script-written, money raping movie to be released...that is the essense of horror we are supposed to face and embrace...
...fuck them... _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

I agree completely. I can't seem to fathom a reasonable argument because you are one-hundred percent correct. _________________ ... Feat not, for the Reaper slumbers on this day!
