Post subject: Defeating Tanya in Konquest. |

So, as some of you probably know, I got all the way to Edenia in Konquest, when the profile I was using got corrupted.
Now I've restarted Konquest, and I'm back at the point where it got corrupted, i.e. kombating with Tanya.
I remember I tried defeating her about 15 times and failed miserably each turn. And I have this annoying thing where if I don't beat my opponent within 2 gos, I give up for a day or so.
I suck at MK, especially with Shujinko, so this makes it all the worse. And after finding out that you get to train with Sindel after this, it's made me want to beat her even more.
Does anyone have any tips to kill Tanya, bearing in mind that I'm awful at this game?

This fight is very tough. I used Shujinko´s longest combo and his bone-breaker (R1) again and again until I finally defeated her. Patience is the key!

That's okay. But I was so looking forward to ripping Tanya to pieces after all the hate I had for her built up a lot.
I have MK-related drawback symptoms. *Hyper-ventilates*
So when I do get it back, should I try out the combo/R1 trick? Because she tends to juggle a lot, and that's what gets me each time. What if I miss, and she just juggles till I'm dead?

...wow...if only life was a video game...then you should definitely challenge your aunt to...Mortal Kombat...haha...but that's okay...you should definitely save up for Geddon if you wish though...lucky for you the PS2 edition has the Kollector's Edition premium covers...I see you as a Shao/Sindel kinda girl anyhow...

That's actually a great idea. But then I'd need to challenge her again for her memory card. xD
Krave - I would love the Sindel collector's edition case, but I don't actually like Shao Kahn that much, so it ruins it a bit.
I'd love a case with just Sindel, or her and the 3 female ninjas. That would kick ass.

I don't celebrate Christmas. I'm Muslim.
It's kind of cheap around here, though. I could get it soon, but I don't have a memory card yet. I only just got my PS2 recently after begging for 4 years. And even if Deception is only about 8 pounds, the memory card is about 20. Seeing as I don't get pocket money cos I don't really need it, I'm screwed.

Also, I know it's frusterating when you keep loosing to a character, but I find this is the same with most fighting games: the more times you loose to a character, the easier they get on you. I think it is done this way so that eventually the computer goes easy enough for you to beat them and progress through the game. I have seen this in MK games as well as Dead or Alive ones, where I continue to loose numerous times against an opponent, and then finally they play really crappily, allowing me to defeat them. It could be that, or also the fact that the more you fight them, the better you get from experience. I think it's a little of both.
Just keep at it and eventually you'll overcome Tanya, and it'll be all the more satisfying.

Its probley because you start to expect things, like you've seen their same move so you know what thier going to do next. its like your subconisous was analizing everthing she was doing. then you knew what to expect next, so when she starts a chain combo you can break it rigth after that first hit. and i think it sometimes get easir, i once played a game on my pc and i must have loss 100 times in a row then the next thing i know they just put me up a level

Oh, no. She gets harder for me! 
I kind of suck at Mortal Kombat, so I won't be able to stop her juggles.
If I could fight her as any character other than Shujinko, I would have beaten her ages ago.
I need Deception and a memory card back.
