Hmmm, well I know at least Dead or Alive game characters start standing there for a while, allowing you to hit them, if you've lost to them x number of times. As for how to beat Tanya with Shujinko, just perform his longest combo you have at the time (you can find it in the moves list) then block, and then another combo. Each time you Tanya blocks your combo, immidiatly block afterwards. Try this and lemme know if that helps at all.
Also, MKDA and MKD all take a while to really master. The slower-paced, combo-demanding style took me a while to get used to as well.  Don't give up, you'll beat Tanya eventually.

Thanks, guys.
My aunt lent me Deception again, and I took your advice.
And I COMPLETED KONQUEST!  *Dances*
It's kind of difficult, especially as Scorpion was as hard as Monster (may have something to do with them having the same fighting styles and amount of rounds... ¬_¬), and I actually thought I would also have to fight Onaga.
Tanya got a lot less hard now - she hardly juggled and left her guard open quite a few times.
I still only just managed to beat her, because I was planning to purposefully lose so I could start over properly.
My heart was racing, I tell you.

Thats how you know when you got a good game, when your heart just starts to race, every time you get closer to the bottom of your health bar, and is just one move away. man you make me want to restart everything just to get that felling.

Woo, non-existent club. I have 6 or 7 of Shujinko's special moves now. But he's a thiiiief! I have the game for a while, I expect. But I'm having a problem with it. I think I'll have to make my millionth Deception problem thread.

Thank you. You helped quite a lot. Except I didn't once manage Shujinko's combo, because I kept thinking I was doing it wrong.

You can complete my Deception for me. ^_^ I haven't got round to doing Arcade just yet.
