MK1 Pit 3D map made in UnrealED for unreal tournament games...

OLD PICs gone- switched servers

heres ya go ... ( Hey TMK- if these pics are too much/too big let me know, and ill link instead- thanks)







If you have the PC game UNreal Tournament you can download the map files and play in the map- enjoy- theres a instructions text file there too- files at url below:

Now if you think those old UT ones are nice- check out my new UT2003/2004 version with high-res textures and high poly meshes:



I made these maps with several programs- primarily with the map making program UnrealED, which comes for free with the Unreal Tournament PC games. For the ut2003/2004 version I created some of the 3D architecture/meshes in 3d studio max5 then imported into UnrealED, and I did the graphics/textures in paint shop pro 7 and imported to unrelED.

Damn thats really good. Try to do Pit 3 or something. (Where you fight Kahn with the fan blades at the bottom)

First of all, The Maps are made in UnrealED for Unreal Tournament game.

I Do plan to do the wasteland actually. Main reason I havent is, even though the map and its purple look is sweet, overall its a pretty boring map as far as playability is concerned...who wants to hop around a flat wasteland? SO if anyone has any ideas for a Death trap or extra design possibilties on the wasteland thats realistic to MK let me know...

...PIT1 update: I put in the blades at the Pit bottom last night- looks cool...I need to figure out a way to put the hunreds of blades around the pillars without making the map run like complete a$$... Smile- that could be a problem...and is one of the reasons I havent done the map till now...

Sure would be nice if I would actually Finish my other 4 or so maps...I just get to a point on each one where I perfect the actuall MK level part of the maps, but then since I have a complete lack of original creativity, I can never perfect the areas around the main area that I have to come up with. Thats why goros lair got finished cuz I didnt have to deal with outside areas at all...
Thanks to Pics of MK:mytholgy's Prison stage, I fortunately will be able to release the MK4/MKM Prison map soon since I was able to have something to work off of for the walkways outside of the Prison FAN room...its a SWEET map. Main thing I have to do now is asthetic decoration and work a bug out of the spinning souls in the prison center...

ps- I never noticed till I experienced Pit1 in 3D but is it just me?, or does that look like an Egyptian design???

In the arcade verison of MK1, The Pit looks like a romen bridge with shiny stautes of a beasts, Along with the mountains in the back and the corpses at the bottom, It just looks romen to me, not egypatian design. Its Romen, period.

The obelisks look egyptian mainly...

Update PIC- from the bottom- now with blades:



To save polygons I put column and floor blades every other position.
(in other words- only half the real amount of blades Sad )

an you know what, It's a mysetty on how Reptile even gets out od the Bottom of the pit. Oh and here is a better estimate of the pit, so you can save room.

There is only one

The bridge should be about 50 feet up!

I know becuase I e-mailed Ed-Boon about some level ideas and he gave me one answer,

"The Pit was originally 50 feet up in the arcade version of MK1"
