Post subject: How to pass the first stage? |

Maybe someone might already had a simalr thread, but I am new so...I need help getting pass the first stage of the game. When I had to fight the guards to get to the portal. The last guard keep kicking my ass. lol

Who you using? Either way, best thing to do is a fatality to take them out fast. If you dont have one, then if your using Kang, flying kick them off the side, and or fire ball them, if loa, then just throw your hat at him

There is an easy strategy how to defeat the guards. After you block their attack, they are vulnerable for a while. So the key to win is: Block their attack and then immediately strike back

Also, to kill enemies instantly, throw them off the map. For example: the guards on the bridge you're having trouble with. Hold block until one of them attacks, they will be nocked back. Run up to them and throw them off the bridge while they're dazed, and you don't have to fight them.
This works for pretty much all standard enemy units in the game except for Shadow Priests. To knock them off the level (since they can't be thrown), run around for a bit then use the B button (on the X-Box) and if you should end up kicking them far off the map. This way you can go through portals in The Portal stage without having to bother fighting them.

Would it be unkind to laugh at this guy? Sorry yeah I guess it would be so I won't. Yeah the easiest thing I did was to run up to them and lob them off the bridge, pow done!

You had trouble with the first two masked guards? You're gonna HATE fighting those damn shadow priest, and almost all the bosses... GOOD LUCK YO!!!

I'm good on Shaolin Monks and I still hate fighting Shadow Priests. I hate that one move where their hand turns green and they charge at you and grab you by the neck.

Agreed, the Shadow Priests are so annoying; I suggest skipping them whenever possible.
