Post subject: Khameleon, confirmed NOT to be in Armageddon!!! |

While this site was down due to bandwidth limit exceeding, news was released that Khameleon will in fact NOT be in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for the PS2 and XBox. It is unknown whether she will be available on the Wii version or not, but this decision has caused a LOT of controversy over on the Midway boards.
I'd like to say that, while I'm still eagerly awaiting Armageddon, I'll still buy it the day it comes out, and I'll still love it, I am disappointed in this decision by Ed Boon and co. given the fact they stated there would be no console-only characters, and promised EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER to throw a punch in the MK fighting games would be in Armageddon. It wouldn't matter if it was Kabal left out, or Stryker, or whoever - it's the fact they left out a character from this game when they said they would not.
Some might say "just create her in KaK mode", well I say to you: "that doesn't solve the problem of her canon storyline!". We'll have no idea what happens to her in the MK Universe, unless she in fact is somewhere in the game, or is on the Wii version instead of Chameleon (which would be a piss off to me still, but at least I could download her ending and story online).
They put Meat in the game, which had no storyline at all, or his own moves, or his own NAME except for the fan-created one. They put in male Chameleon who never had a story at all either. But they left out Khameleon who DID have a storyline and name, and her own, even if small, fanbase. At least they put Motaro in the game, despite the fact he only has 2 legs now. So why would they leave Khameleon out?
Khameleon being left out of Armageddon makes the game incomplete, and I am disappointed in the MKTeam's decision to do this. I really hope Cinder, who posted the news on the Midway boards, is either keeping the whole truth from us, or their decision changes.
What do you guys think of this decision? Feel like the MKTeam lied to you? Do you think she should be available on the Nintendo Wii, or not available at all if not on all consoles?

we got a lot of bad news all at once. All the the same day, we got :
Crappy guy outside photo on official site
Motaro having two legs
and then the Khameleon thing.
I have gotten over the Motaro thing. I have, but I feel like I won't get over this lack of Khameleon thing. Sure, she is the only obscure character that NEEDED to be in there, but that's not why I'm mad.
I am mad at that because EVERY SINGLE OUNCE OF MEDIA had confirmed "KHAMELEON" they always spelled it with a "k" EVERY TIME UNTIL THIS NEWS CAME OUT.... They got my hopes up. I love Midway. I can't wait for the game. But I HAVE been lied to because all prior media was a falacy!

they dont have khameleon because chameleon is already in the game

To be honest, I don't even care. She didn't have a big enough impact, nor was she eye-catching.

How about I give Chameleon breast implants?
Will that make everyone feel better?
Honestly, I never considered them 2 characters...sure, the N64 Khameleon had a better storyline, but that was just PSX / N64 exclusivs to make one female and one male. I think it sucks that MK fans are so ungreatfull no matter what isn't in the game they keep winging...(btw I am pissed that the robot guy from MKM:SZ prison stage isn't in the game, you promised us midway!!!!1111oneoneone) I wish these guys would get over it. The game has 62 characters, Isn't that fucking enough?

I didn't men to across as ungrateful. I most definately am not. I do programming of my own and I know how complicated and painstaking it canbe. I understand their actions. I was only mad that the media lied. I would like to have Khameleon. Yes, this is true. But we have been over-blessed by this game. I just got very disappointed when I thought that the information we were recieved was apt. It's one thing to spell a character's name incorrectly. To err is only human. But when that misspelling is constantly repeated and it insinuates a completely different character that have sparked a controversy for months. Ok, don't put in Khameleon. I don't blame you not wanting to programming another character, but shame on your media!
I'm not ungrateful like most of the other assholes out there. I swear it.

I really don't care. I'd never even heard of Khameleon until I looked around forums and topics on different sites for information on Armaggeddon. She doesn't even sound interesting. Wasn't she a Kitana copy anyways?

Point A : it's more of her just being there, not her existance. I mean, who cares about Mokap, he "just there to keep a promise"
Point B : Every ninja is a copy. That's like saying I don't like Sub-Zero cause he's just a blue Scorpion. Sure, they evolved over time, but they all started off as "rip-offs."

How did the media lie?
like I said, Chameleon is in the game, they only made her female on N64 and added story for an exclusive...not to make a new character.

I don΄t mind if Khameleon gets the boot in this game. There are so many more characthers in the game anyway.
I΄d rather play as Chameleon.
