Actually, the top one just looks like a new version of the Soul Chambers stage.

I think that's cause it is a new version of the Soul Chamber. It looks awesome. The Soul Chamber was one of my favorite stages.

...I'd glad to see Scorpion's Lair more...not as much gore in Hell as the original...but the Soul Chamber looks better than the original...I like it...

I haven't heard anything, but you'll probably find info on the Midway forums. I remember that the forums said that Scorpion's lair shakes during the fight.

You can also include the meteor level, the Tower from MK1, and Reptile's Lari is now OFFICIALLY confirmed.

As far as Scorpion's Lair goes, I'm assuming that they will use a deathtrap similar to the fatality that Scorpion uses on you in Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks if he beats you.

...I don't think Scorpion's Lair will have one...falling into lava is too expected...but the Soul Chamber may have a spot where you can get your soul sucked out in one of those ditches with green glowing lights...that could look pretty cool...

Although it is pretty expected. They've done it so many times :
Kutan Palace
Lower Mines.
Even IN Armageddon they already have
Kahn's arena and the Armory/Foundry with lava.
It's possible.
