I think he looks like crap, but I've only seen scans, and the person who did them blurred the pics a bit. Hopefully he looks better than I think. (Never liked him, but I still don't want him to be disgraced by looking like crap.)
Let's put it to a vote--go to about any site around to see pics of Reptile. Vote on him here.
btw, this is not a Reptile dissin' post, just a "how do you think he looks" post. Don't get offended if you think I was harsh in the poll.

I prefer his ninja outfit as well. The worst thing developers can do is create a dozen of weird unappropriate characters like in Tekken. This game has a story, it's not just about fighting, so, not any character can enter. I guess there is no big dissaster at the moment since Reptile's outfit is still within the limits of reasonable. Besides, he will probably get a ninja alternative outfit ...

Yeah, although realism is not the main aim in the Mortal Kombat series, I think for the sake of the game, it still should have a relative high realism level. That makes the game cool.

I'm still glad he's not a ninja. I bought the magazine, and if I get the time, I'll do some high quality scans for all of you.... he looks a little better than I though, but I still think he's weird. However--screenshots almost ALWAYS loose something when taken from gameplay footage. He may look really cool in action, but crappy in a shot, if you get my drift.
I think he'll be really fast and move around like 1.5x speed of the others. That'd be cool, though probably unfair.

He looks like a sleg from Turok Evolution. I still like him though. Only Subby and Scorp have the background to wear Liu-thingy ninja costumes.

I'm not tired of ninja outfits and monk themes at all. Given the storyline and previous games and all, it is natural to have ninjas and monks in the game. It's like saying that you're tired to see guys in uniform in the army.
There is nothing terribly bad with current reptile, some of us are disappointed including myself, other are happy. Alternative outfit will hopefully make us all happy.
