I have played MK 2 more than anything!!!
I must say that the klassics NEVER cease to get old for me...I don't even have MK1 (I wish).
Although as fun as playing MK2 is, I like things with a challenge, most of the time it just gets a little too easy for me....

Most classic MK game I've played is Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, because I had it for the Sega Genesis for years. It was only recently that I finally picked up Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the Sega Saturn.
IMHO, MKT is the best classic MK game ever. Every character from the previous games is playable and featured in it, it's got the combo system which was not present in MK1 or MK2, it features 2 fatalities per character, plus anamalities, brutalities, babalities and friendships. All in all the gameplay is great and it's just a fantastic game. It will soon be the most played of the classic MK games for me. _________________

eBay my friend, is the source for all things hard to find. And to answer your question, yes, I still have the game. I was able to find it in it's original Sega Saturn case, with instruction manual as included, and no scratches on the disc. An amazing find and a steal price wise. _________________

Shaolin Monks isn't considered quite classic yet...at all. But I've been playing UMK3 a lot since it was on Geddon for the PS2, heheh. _________________ "...don't think it's yours just 'cause you marked it with your urine."

MK1: I will never forget the first time I played it in the arcade, it was a friend's B-day party at a "rental arcade/b-day center" owned by Daniel's Amusement (Local Arcade Distributor). I was always a Street Fighter man myself, but this MK game was stiring up some buzz, so I gave it a shot with Rayden...... oh man......... I played this quite a bit in the arcade using Sub Zero after that point.... I didn't play competitively mind you... the Forward, Down, Forward, High Punch end result was enough
MK2: This one I played competitively like crazy... I was like a stalker, hanging around the machine, waiting for someone to play just so I can challenge them (the computer had become boring at that point). I played with Kitana, she was clearly one of the top tier of the day. Reptile was finally playable but didn't have the edge.... not yet.
MK3: I was happy like a pig in mud when my local Laser Tag place got MK3. Lucky for us, we never had a machine WITHOUT Smoke unlocked so he was "the guy" to use. He might be a little cheap sometimes but he gets the job done....... MK3 when ported at home was played to death between me and my friends.
MK3 Ulitmate: My brain overloaded, Reptile, Ermac, Rain...... oh my! What can I say about this one. While it's arcade stay was brief, my glee of it's appearance was enough. Reptile was awesome to use (more balanced) and Ermac was just broken complete When the NDS version came out, I bought it instantly. I use Robo-Smoke and Reptile with the odd Ermac when I am getting whipped.
MK4: The last of the arcade generation......... used Reptile, was not very good sadly.......... at that time, was more into the Capcom releases. _________________

UMK3 on SNES was my first taste of MK in its entirty (I had previously played MK1 Amiga Demo). Took my a while to complete it but was worth it when I did. Had some great multiplayer games on it too. Have not been too good at it when decided to dust it off in recent times. _________________ Yippie Ki Yay
