On this topic, you can post anything about drums, such as techniques, vids, drummers, equipment, tips etc. To start off this topic I have a question. Does anyone know how to do a one-handed roll? I've seen vids but they don't explain it thoroughly enough for me.

i dont play drums, but i would imagine you hold the stick half way down and just sort of hit it form side to side if that amkes sense

I love drums.
But my parents wouldn't ever let me buy one, 1. Because they'd have to pay for it, as I'm too young for a proper job. And 2. Because it's so noisy. And 3. Music is kind of frowned upon in my religion, but I still listen to it all the time.
I tried teaching myself a basic rhythm at school, so I was proud when 5 minutes later, I managed to get the hi-hat, the bass drum and snare all in a steady beat, as I suck at co-ordination.

Well you gotta practice. I used to practice like 7-8 hours a day(on and off) during the summer, but now I have school so I can't practice as much. Plus I have been feeling lethargic each time I come home for some reason. Idk it's a big school, so from walking around I get tired.
