If people didn't notice by the new videos, Raiden is still dark and evil looking. It shows this in the Ed Boon video when Ed fights as Rain against Raiden.

Yeah, I noticed that. He also appeared in the "Mortal Kombat Cast" video that was on... IGN I think.
It should be interesting to know what his role is.

They probably decided to go with the latest Raiden model they used, in this case the one in MKD. Storywise he may still be more strict and will punish mortals if the endanger the Earth Realm, like his ending showed in MKD.

...if most remember correctly...an old gameplay video showed Rayden in a 'good-guy' suit...either they were just using his Alliance costume to keep variety or on the other hand it's his alternate...either way...Rayden still has an evil side...
...though I will miss his alternate in Deception...

His alternate outfit in MKD was great. Reminded of Musashi or some other cool samurai. I hope he may have it as a 3rd outfit in MKA.

uh.. Raiden has the same alternate costume in mkd and mkda just that they have different colors.

...have you seen his Deception alternate Arcalamious? The only costumes they've shown for him are his primaries for Alliance as well Deception...

...sorry...I misinterpreted what you said...I thought you were claiming that Rayden's costume in Geddon is the same as the Deception and Alliance' alternate...I know they were the same in both Alliance and Deception though that doesn't change that they kick ass and very much should be in Geddon...

I like dark Raiden the most. Even killing Shujinko to protect Earthrealm is cool, and Deception was the only time I liked Raiden since the MK1 Raiden who was evil.

God, why do so many people spell Raiden wrong?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!
Okay. I'm calm now. I did like some of Raiden's moves in MK 2-4, but the cleap shot staff wasn't cool in MKDA. I couldn't play with friends because they'd always use Raiden. He was cool in MKD though.
