Actually IMO, Fable is one of the four nonMK games with replayability that I own. Granted, I only have about forty games, but that still says a lot.
Sorry I'm only continuing the off-topic going. _________________

Sure Ed Boon said there's no more old school character specific fatalities but it's not something that's gonna make me now not wanna get the collectors edition when it comes out on october 9th probably 11th in stores cause the new way they made it so you create your own fatality in sequence looks awesome the way it is. And whose to say that maybe if you get a 11 or 12 combo of fatality they might still do some signature fatality maybe he wants to keep some parts of this game a secret till people buy it and play it. _________________

Thats typical for him.
Adding one feature for the better (Air Combat or at least the fact the fighting isn't as boring and stiff as before) and making a other thing worse (fatalities).
In that case I'm not interested in the game anymore.
And thinking about the fact that I have Deception and DA on the cube with a total of 8 hours played I should save my money. _________________ no blood - no fun

This game looks way better than Deception and Deadly Alliance. Even if they don't have specific fatalities the characters, it's not that big of a deal for me. Specifics aren't all fatalities are. The blood and gore makes the fatalities. I think the only time I'll ever whine about fatalities is if the characters stop bleeding.

I think the Kreate a Fatality is awesome, cause yeah character specific's are cool, but after you play the game for a little while you get tired of seeing the same ones over and over, and atleast KAF gives you quite a bit of options, and now there won't be any more people posting HOW DO YOU DO FATALITIES?!?!, so thats another good thing. _________________ X-BOX Live Player

Sure a lot of ppl. will love it and some won't.
But I guess you have to see MK's origins and ppl. who follow the series since it's beginning.
The thing I loved on the old MK games was the fact that they were simple to play, had a good gameplay flow and of course the fatalities in all their variations (friendship, animality, brutality, babality etc.)
Now I look at the new engine and I must say I love the detailed levels and the music.
Fatalities in DA and deception were not that good. Some were just plain stupid and yes in the old MK games most fatalities were also stupid but at least funny.
Then you have the fighting engine.
In comparison to the 2D engine it's just annoying how the fighters move (like the've got a broken leg) the gameplay is stiff and slow. The style switching is stupid and annoying at the same time and you get smacked down by a move list long as a phone book. And on top of that most moves are just lame.
Now Tekken lovers might find that good, I hate it.
My point is that the series died for me a long time ago and as more details about Armageddon getting revealed I'm just not in the mood to resurrect MK.
Still, I have more fun playing MK2 than with any of the new MK's although Shaolin Monks is funny but that doesn't count as a regular fighter.
For me MK lost it's unique funny, creative and enjoyable side. _________________ no blood - no fun

The old 2D games were good games and had awesome fatalities. And yes, a few fatalities in DA and Deception were les than good. But Sub-Zeros, Scorpion's, and (suprisingly) Hsu Hao's. They weren't all bad.
Style switching isn't all bad. It's better than in the old games when the buttons were just high kick, low kick, and punches, and a few combos. Style switching also makes it where you can do those style switching combos which makes switching stlyes not so bad while still causing damage. The move list isn't really that long either. It's mainly simple moves and you can scroll through it fairly quickly, so that's not a big problem.
Another thing that's different between yours and my thoughts about Armageddon is that as more details come out about it I get even more excited about it.
To me Mortal Kombat is still enjoyable.

Nah, the question about taste.
And 2D is far more delicious than 3D stuff when it comes down to gameplay.
As I first saw DA I was very curious about how it will come out with the fighting.
Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected.
Deception improved in terms of fatalities but the gameplay was still not good.
Sometimes you just have to stick with the good ol' stuff. _________________ no blood - no fun

It´s all a matter of taste but these days there aren´t that many 2D games except for Guilty Gear. And of course Crapcoms endless crossover series between Street Fighter and whatever. _________________ Kano wins!!

Some 2D games are ok, just not a lot. I prefer 3D for some reason. I guess it's because it looks better.

Of course thats why I'm talking about the old stuff.
Samurai Showdown 4, Art of Fighting 1+2, Fatal Fury Realbout Special etc.
Mostly games from the golden SNK era.
Me and my buddies played that stuff to death on the Neo Geo.
And when we have matches these days we always end up playin those games over the newer ones.
For MK it was MK2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat - Trilogy where we had extreme sessions.
But the newer MK, nobody of my buddies really gets hot with it.
I guess were old stuff also. _________________ no blood - no fun

Yeah it will definitively be very different but still good. Need to be good at it to earn koins. Just like in real life everything is about money. _________________ Kano wins!!

ok....maybe it sounds stupid but..... You can earn coins with fatalitys ? besides the things i've seen so far about the multiple fatalitys don't look like fun to me..... looks like a tekken 23 million buttonsmashing thing to earn a 2 second move
