Post subject: My first post, characters, and a question |

Hey everyone, this is my first post on this board. I was aprehensive about the new MK game coming out, but that was mostly because of the hands off approach most videogame mags have been taking with the game. Once I started looking around on the sites connected to the MK:DA homepage, I was SHOCKED and relieved to see that this will indeed be the best MK game ever. I love the new Kombat Kurrency system, which is kind of a cross between Mission Mode in Soul Calibur and Marvel Vs Capcom 2, hidden character purchase system. Only MUCH better. I'll get back to the video game mags in a different post. But I've been doing some research, and I'm going to try to guess the hidden spots on the character select screen based on info I've gathered from many an MK site.
Known characters not shaded out: (From left to right) Scorpion, Sonya, Jax, Blind Kenshi (possible name change?), Quan Chi, Li Mei, Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung. Those we know about. And so far there are 20 characters at least seen in screenshots, if not already confirmed. First, the easy ones:
Kano is obviously the character in the lower left hand corner, Rayden is obviously the charter on the bottom row, six pictures in from the left, and Drahmin is obviously right next to him on his right hand side. Now comes the guessing:
Mavado- I'm thinking that he's the character on the bottom row, three pictures from the left
Kung Lao- It wouldn't be much of a stretch to think that he'd be the character all the way to the right on the bottom row.
Frost- She's probably right next to Kung Lao on the bottom row, to his left.
Kitana- My guess is that she's all the way to the right on the top row, next to Shang Tsung.
Cyrax- I'm guessing that he's next to Kano on the bottom left corner, two pictures in.
Reptile- I'm thinking that he's that' weird picture on the bottom row, four pictures in from the left.
Johnny Cage- Ohh...hard one. I think that he's the bottom row to the left of Frost, three pictures in from the right.
Nitara- I'm stumped on this one, but even the picture looks like a dude, I'm going to say it's the bottom row, five pictures in. So the last picture would have to be:
Hsu Hao- top left corner next to Scorpion
That leaves Moloch as an unselectable character. Possibly hidden, possibly (and I believe he is) a boss character. Well? How did I do? Do you all disagree with any of my picks? If you want to see the picture, or haven't already, go to TRMK.
Now my question, why hasn't the folks at Midway updated the MK:DA site in a while? They have about sixt or seven characters in their characters section, when I've found 20 in pictures and sketches. Also, when are they going to have the message board up there? The game is coming out in less than two months! Oh well, Peace

I suspect they're waiting until the game is out and people have played it to activate their message board (if they ever do).
Not bad on your deductions, though I suppose that means Sheeva is going to be a hidden character. And she's the one I wanted to use first! BAH! At any rate, welcome to the board!

How about Bo Rai Cho. It is confirmed he is in the game.
You left him out, and I don't believe he is a hidden charactar.
Shao Kahn is also rumoured to appear in MKDA.

No.... we already know who's on the select screen. (I don't remember about the two new ones, though....) Here they are.
Top left to right, in order as they appearred at E3:
Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sonya, Jax, Blind Kenshi, Quan Chi, Li Mei, Sub-Zero, Shang Tusng, Kitana.
Bottom left to right:
Kano, Cyrax, Mavado, Reptile, Bo Rai Cho, Raiden, New Guy (possibly Drahmin), Another New guy (I dunno who), Frost, and Kung Lao.
