You hit the nail on the head Scorpion53. I was amazed when I found out that he made that bargin in conquest mode. And of course, Kahn would eventually attack earthrealm.Like said, I still like playing as him, just not as much. _________________

I can say that when Raiden was elevated to Elder God status, Fujin was the best choice for Protector of Earthrealm. I am not saying that he's my favorite, or he's better than Raiden at all. He may not have the ability to teleport, or manipulate electricity, but the ability to control the wind is all one needs to take out any adversary. Raiden cannot be trusted now that he has been found to have bargained with an enemy like Shao Kahn, who I said before, is not known for keeping up his end of a bargain. This may be a bad example, but consider the MK Annihilation movie, Raiden was about to bow at Shao Kahn's feet and instead of releasing Johnny Cage, he snaps his neck. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

One thing that annoys me is that he is still good in one newer game and that is Deadly Alliance, but it is nowhere near as good as D and A. I mean Raiden doesn't even have his classic flying thunder god move!!!! Very annoying!!!!! _________________

As much as it pains me to say it, I really do despise Raiden now. Why Midway had to kill him off and bring him back as some evil maniac, I have no idea, but one thing's for sure:
They really HAVE crossed the line this time!!!

Actually, I like what they did with Raiden. With every game, the threat to Earthrealm kept getting bigger and badder and what was happening? They were adding new characters instead of making the ones they got bigger and badder. Well, when Raiden saw what was happening after releasing his god like essence, and he came back to kick some ass, he did it. And remember, he not only made a deal with Shao Kahn, he made a deal with his brother.

The first part of your statement was true, Klark, but there was nowhere in the game that it said that Raiden made a deal with Daegon. Shao Kahn wanted to claim the prize for himself and made a deal with Raiden. Kahn wanted the brothers stopped, and the only alliance formed with Daegon was with the former Elder God Shinnok. Go back through the Konquest and look again because no alliance was made between Daegon and Raiden. Daegon did try and kill Taven because he heard the Elder Gods might assist Taven instead of him. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

Daegon isn't the brother I was talking about. Shao Kahn is Raiden's brother. Shinnok is his father. What I was meaning to say was that perhaps to this new way of thinking of Raiden's, he not only made a deal with the emperor of Outworld, but perhaps to him it was just a deal with his brother.
It is in both the Annihilation movie and Video Game story lines that Shinnok is Shao Kahn and Raiden's father, making them brothers. If I were Raiden and I was pissed off at everything so much that it made me look evil, I wouldn't be thinking straight either. I would be thinking of making a deal with my brother. Raiden had been pitted against Shao Kahn before by Shinnok to found out who was stronger. Raiden won all the time. So when he made the deal, he knew he wasn't making a deal that would go limpwristly to the side. He'd beat some ass.

I've never seen ANYWHERE in the games that state that Raiden and Shoa Kahn are brother, nor that Shinnok is their father. So show me exactly where in the games it states this, and if you just hand me a link to wikipedia, I'll slap you. _________________

It's in the storyline for MK4 and somewhere tying into MKM: Subzero. When Earth was created, Shinnok wanted it for himself. However, he had to face Raiden, his own son, as Raiden had been made protector of the realm. The whole concept of MK4 was Shinnok's War, right? Where the battles between Shinnok and Raiden happened again. And when you need to look up the story of Raiden and Shao Kahn. I don't know if it's specifically IN the game, but it is part of the storyline leading to the original MK and background for MK4.
I don't know any wikipedia links. I can't remember where I read it and now that I can't find it, I've found evidence that it might have just been added somewhere along the line. I'd like to believe it's true, for purposes that Raiden might always be the god he was. Sorry.

I know MKM: Sub-Zero and MK4 story by heart for most part, and no wher in either game I've seen/found any evidence proving this true. Odds are, if you read it on wiki, then the people who edited it (As always) were wrong and lazy, just adding that bit because they feel the movies are cannon to the games. _________________

You won't hear me say this much, but I agree with u hear Vain. Like u said, there is no evidence from either games that Raiden and Shao Kahn are brothers and the father is Shinnok. You know what, I'll bet you he saw Mortal Kombat: Annihilation and tried to say that the storyline in the movie matches the games. Well, Klark, if this is true, then I don't know what to tell you and here you are fighting a losing battle so just let this one go. _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

I can't remember if I've either heard or read about it somewhere before, but I'm pretty sure that it's been said before that the storylines in the MK movies are IN NO WAY the same as that in the MK games. Besides, Shao Khan was never a god of any description, so there's no way he can be related to Raiden. _________________ "We don't choose to be what we are. Ya know, before your smart enough to tell me to let something go, then perhaps you should learn to read. In my last post, I clearly stated that I didn't know any wiki links, so I haven't read it there. I also clearly stated that by my lack of finding it again, I believed that I was wrong. I also clearly stated the word SORRY.
Thank you, I know I was wrong, but ya don't need to rub it in. Spank you very much.
