If this has been posted someplace I'm sorry for the re-post, but I havn't played DA or D and was wondering if it is ever known who resurrected Liu Kang?

Onaga.
He has the power to resurrect the dead, hence his "undefeatable army".

Why do they look normal and Kang like a rotting corpse?

How do you think Onaga was controling them? And it was clearly said that Raiden was the only warrior of light left to fight. And, if you look closly during the begining of the MKD into, you'll see their dead bodies.

Liu got a proper burial, he was six feet under. It wasn't reveiled how long it was between Liu Kang's death and the return of Onaga. But it's clear that he was a worm feast by then. The others were freshly dead, and were just left outside the fortress.

Actually, Onaga DIDNT resurect Kang. It was an unkown sorcerer he tried to use his body, but then the body became fuelled with rage and went on a killing spree while his spirit, now free from Shang Tsung was trying to stop his body.

Yeah, me either. I'm actually starting to get the jist of this mythology now that i purchased MK:4, Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon.
I thought Liu was brought back by the force in which brought Armageddon out in the light.

If you want to know the truth of Lui Kangs Ressurection 1 listen at the begining movie of Armageddon and 2 Why would Onaga Ressurect the man who once kill Shang Stung Who was easily defeated in MK Deception
by the dragon king himself WOuldn't that leave fear behind Onagas Eyes
because Lui Kang Had the wolds largest chance of kill Onaga

1. The opening in MKAR says NOTHING about Lui Kangs revival, just that he does comeback as a zombie, like he did in MKD
2. Your second point makes no damn sense... Lui Kang never killed Shang Tsung, he just beat him, and that made Kahn mad. Also, Onaga is the Dragon King, true heir to the throne of Outworld, he fears nothing...

Hey 1 Onaga does have fears you douche like say for instense he does not trust his new alliance im MKA and 2 Onaga's accually a RE-ENCARNATION of the TRUE dragon king but in Reptiles body How bout you play as sindel or jade In DEception to watch the movie when deafeating Onaga ,and by the way since he's not in his own body he's not the true heir to the thrown good day SIR!

Name calling is prohibited bro. I'd edit that post immediately. I know when you read someone's post, its hard to figure out wether or not theyre being blatantly rude just to spite you, or just being themselves without really intending to cause you any discomfort. Take what people (especially Sages -high ranking members-) here say as help *without taking offense to their responses.*
Your opinions can differ and thats why we have the boards to cover things to clear the air. But once you call someone a name (especially to Vain) 
you better be ready to get whats coming.
Think of it like punching a guard in the back of the head in Konquest mode for Mortal Kombat Deception. Be prepared to get hit back! 
Back to topic, I will openly admit I didnt have one to share with to begin with, but I will contribute to a final thought about Lius Resurrection.
I understand that his resurrection really had more to do with fans not liking him out of the MK universe as he's like the Ryu of Street Fighter, but is it clear yet that Liu regains his life at the end of Armageddon?
I havent had time to button mash with MK Armageddon this week and never beat the game with Zombie Kang to read his ending.
