Tomorrow I'm planning to buy myself an Ethernet cable and a router along with my copy of Armageddon, so I can try connecting up to the online play thing.
How long will that take, do you think?
Once I get online with my PS2, I'll give you my friend ID if I ever accomplish it.

Well to get the ps2 connected online shouldn't take you that long it comes with a cd that has the option for it to automatically detect ur cable or whatever kind of internet you have and then it automatically creates a network setting for you which you can call it anything my home my ps2 online etc.
And then it's all the matter of testing it out to see if it connects you online if it does then your ready to go.

It's a simple process of getting a wireless gaming adapter in order for me to play online. Those things cost about a hundred bucks, so it'll be a while before I get online.

For me, it will not be with Ethernet Cables, but I will try to get online before this game goes out of style. I still need to find a way to set up a wireless network and get a connection.

Exactly the same with me.
I even went into the electronics shop and asked, but apparently I need a router which will set me back about 50 pounds.

It is amazing how much it costs for this stuff to get online. You'd think they would include it in a package like they did for the X Box Live. This gae, however, is one I do not want to miss out on playing online.

I hate to think how much I'd have to pay if I didn't have a slimline PS2.
Y'know, I'm just going to search eBay.
I even tried sticking the network cable from the broadband modem into the network port in my PS2, because I so badly want to play online, but unfortunately, it was too small.
Somehow, I have to connect my modem to my PS2, I know that much.
But I just don't know how. Different people are telling me different things, and I'm confused.

Well it's pretty much a simple thing to do you need to buy a 50 feet ethernet cable then there will be two phone jack connectors on each side rope you stick one in the back of your ethernet part in the modem and another one into the ps2 network side then your on your way just stick the cd in and the rest is plain and easy. 
and porno if your on tonight at around 11:30 or 12 am i can play you for sure not busy ill add your friend gamer id

But it's the Word of Doom again - "Ethernet". I've been told it's included in the slimline, but I'm sure there are two different things with the "Ethernet" word in their names.
I don't know which one to buy! One Ethernet thing costs about £50 and the other about £5.
I can only afford the £5, after blowing all my money on 'Geddon and an extremely expensive PlayStation magazine. I need to save some!

Well my 50 foot one only cost like 34 bucks plus tax in canada along time ago got it for xmas so none of them should really cost you 50 bucks.

I don't have that much money. 
Sod all this. I'm just going to put my PS2 and broadband modem into my purse and go to the electronics shop and demand that they tell me what I really need to do. Imagine the look on their faces when a short little Paki kid comes into their store and pulls a PlayStation out of a little bag. Haha.
Unfortunately, I will have to wait to do that, as I've already been to the closest shop and spent half an hour talking to the guy, but to no avail, and didn't buy anything.
I bet I'm barred.
