I'm sorry if this topic has been descussed before in the past, but it is a good question.
My opinion...
BEST: Subzero and Scorpion feud
WORST: Ermac's story

Best story:hard to say,but i'll say the story of Reptile and Khameleon.Second is Shinnok,even though he was the most pathetic boss ever,his story was quite good.
Worst story:Liu Kang.Only there to save earth/edenia from the bad guys.Second is the story of Jax and Sonya,because all they do is hunt down those poor black dragon members.
Stryker's story could have been better.He has potential.He should be given a second chance.Go away Sonya,your story's getting boring.Give Stryker a chance to improve himself as a character.

I liked Kurtis Stryker's storyline. How he was the sole survivor of a Nuclear OutWorld Destruction and he saved the planet from the spawns of evil.
It was cool. The Black Dragon storyline was good, I liked that too.

Oh, thanks 'blackcyborg', I forgot about Kai.
His storyline is crap, too. I don't think he even has his OWN story, he is just, uhh... their! Basically. I never really liked Kai, he doesn't fit into the Mortal Kombat plot.

One thing i hope they never do:Make Sektor human.Beside,he'll still be loyable to his clan if he became human again.He became a cyborg because of his loyalty.
Speaking of Sektor,i really liked the whole cyborg story.

Best storyline- Johnny Cage at first. He was just in MK for himself. Also like Kano's constant switching sides.
Worst storyline- not sure. Nightwolf's was boring, and Tanya's had me lost at first.
