OK players here we go again this is the thread for NEC7 in Philadelphia Pa. . Park Plaza Hotel--Days INN(2015 Penrose Av.) (215-336-4516)--South Philadephia, 3 miles from the airpot.) will be the location of NEC7."
UMK3 will be hosted by Shock and DreemerNJ from www.ultimatemk.com. Sticks and pads will be provided, personal controllers, game pads, personal sticks, etc are also accepted in the PSX/PS2 and USB formats. The game will NOT be played on the PS2 or XBox 360 versions. Entry fee is $5 if there even is an entry fee by the time players get together. The more players that show, the more the cash prize, and the better chances at 2nd and 3rd place being awarded prize money as well. Depending on turn out it will either be standard double elimination, or Round Robin if there are less than 16 players.
Players who will most likely be in attendance on one or either days: Shock, DreemerNJ, BustaUppa, RSigley, Julian, Jeron, Tom Brady, DeludedFool, plus others. Hope to see a lot more people there with the game being available on XBLA for practice.

I should be at Niagra Falls hotel in NYC, should be able to get a bus to go to dunellen,

What what what? A UMK 3 Tournament. This is something I've not heard of. There are so many things I miss on these forums, like a tournament, or kompetition of some kind.  I hate when this happens, but anyway, that's the best thing I have heard of. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it there because I got no transportation, and I couldn't afford a plane ticket to fly there.

This will be the 14th UMK3 tournament I have organized or been a part of in the last 5 years. It actually marks the 5th anniversary since I started going to UMK3 tournaments (when held amongst other games)

I did not know that. Like I said, there is a lot I don't hear about, or that I never heard. That's pretty good, though, the 14th Tournament and the mark of the 5th Anniversary. Congratulations to the UMK 3 Tournament on it's 5th Anniversary and good luick to all that kompete. Remember, there is no knowledge that is not power.

Tournament is coming up in a few days. Lots of heavy duty players are saying they'll be there. Let's hope the total turn out gets some decent paying spots!

Results:
NEC7's turnout was less than we had hoped but 10 is better than 6 from last year. Other players who were not a part of the tournament but in attendance over the weekend were DreemerNJ, Crazy Dominican, DJ Eric Darkside, and VDO.

Thanks to all the players who came out, and special thanks to BustaUppa for helping out with the tournament, lugging heavy objects and keeping the gimmick going.
The George Foreman Grill burgers were delicious as usual this year! The entire tournament was video taped so footage will be posted soon.
Edit: Check out the Winners Finals, Finals, and Grand Finals between Shock and Julian now, the rest of the tournament will be up in a few days.
