Hey all,
I've been browsing these boards for a bit now and have seen so many different signatures and avatars displaying favorite characters. Most are Scorpion and Sub-Zero  . I was just curious if there were any big Raiden fans around these parts besides me.

Well actually my favorite is ermac but i can't find a animated type of one of him or any good ermac avatar's otherwise i'd be using that one now.

Well, I did take a liking to him before he turned Dark after his "rebirth" in MK Deception. I mean a well-known hero like Raiden should not be negotiating with the enemy, (i.e. Shao Kahn) although his new look is kick ass.

Yeah I was kinda pissed when they decided to make Raiden corrupt, but I still like playing as him.

I like Raiden now, as a curopt god, it reminds me of him back in MK1, when his endign said that because no one could chalange him, he blew up the Earth.

Look at it this way, Vain. If you're the fan of someone who was bent on protecting the Earth and you found out your Protector bargained with someone like Shao Kahn, who is known for deceiving people and not keeping up his end of a bargain, what would you think about that? Had Shao Kahn succeeded in claiming the prize, he would have attacked Earthrealm and become the ruler of all that exists.

Uh... your talking to the WRONG person, I'm the kind of guy who cheers on evil.
And Raiden was ORIGANALLY evil to begin with, so I honestly don't see what the fuss was about, I know when I first played MK2, I was pissed that they made him a good guy.

Don't get me wrong, Vain, I enjoy evil. I just thought the idea that Raiden, formally a good guy from MK II, bargained with someone like Shao Kahn, who would do anything to take control of Earthrealm. We all know Shao Kahn would go at anything to conquer all the realms. As far as evil is concerned, I'm all over it. I would push for Shao Kahn to conquer all, not only that, I would watch a complete annihilation of a realm, such as Edenia. It is only a matter of time before Shao Kahn conquers Edenia. ALL HAIL SHAO KAHN!!!

On the subject of good and evil players, I usually play as the good guys and maybe a neutral one here and there like Scorpion. The only "eveil" character I like to play as is Shao Kahn.

I didn't mind what type of side Raiden was on as long as he was had easy moves to do as well as being strong like liu kang

Thats one of the good things abou Raiden. He is a strong character who's moves are not hard to master. However, master Raiden in Kombat can be more difficult.

Raiden was one of the best fighters{next to the champ Liu Kang!}. But, i find him harder to control now. What i mean is that he's harder to fight with now. If you don't think so thats fine, but i still say he's harder to fight with.
