Here's a storyline, no one has defeated the Firespawn Blaze, starting the Apocalypse, killing off about 85-90% of the characters. Scorpion has returned to the Netherrealm to build his power while Quan Chi is building his next plot to get rid of Scorpion. However, here's the thing, for surviving the Apocalypse, Scorpion's clan is fully resurrected and he orders them to hunt down the sorcerer, not resting until the sorcerer lies dead. The title: "Mortal Kombat: A New Beginning".

Needs more Stryker goodness  . But I like the Quan Chi idea. He's a bastage  , lol.

I like scorpion53's idea but what i wanna see is your custom Character in the next Konquest but not all around him just the start and then switch to one of the surviving Characters and doing a bit of cannon story for all of the surviving Characters good and bad.

It's obvious that almost all characters will die...the most likely ones that will survive, based on what I know are Rayden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile (about Reptile: if you're not sure what I mean about him surviving, read the Wikipedia pages on the Saurian race)

...back when Rayden's past was pushed out and it mentioned the wars against Shinnok and the Elder God's consent in more detail it called them 'Saurians', forced to run away to Zaterra. Then again in Trilogy.

Ok, Hi, This is my first time ever posting anything so bear with me. I kinda had an Idea for mk8 and wanted to see what others thought.
"It was always believed that four horsemen would bring on armageddon, but instead armegeddon has brought on the four horsemen. . .
The battles raged, dozens of warriors laid defeated, dead. Only four, the four best fighters known to the realms remained: Liu Kang, Taven, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Instead of turning on each other, they decided to ascend the pyramid together. When they reached the top, they found Blaze. Seperatly Blaze would have surely defeated them but together the four were an unstoppable force, they finally defeated him and with his dying breath he unleashed his wraith. He reanimated four of the fallen warriors, making them his servants he increased their power and gave them each the task of killing one of the champions. The four heroes ran, knowing it wiser to prepare for the attack rather then battleing the inhanced warriors, then. The four horsemen tore through the realms looking for Kang, Taven, Scopion and Sub-Zero, and left a wake of destruction in thei paths, even completely destroying CHaosrealm and Orderealm.
Now the gratest warriors in the remaining realms have chosen sides, whether to protect the four champions and destroy the four horsemen, or to help the horsemen hunt them down, to either stop the destruction or for more sinister reasons. Four Champions vs. Four Horsemen.
The War of Eight has Begun.
Mortal Kombat 8"
Warriors
Scorpion-As one of the four champions Scorpion is avaiding destruction by the horsemen. He has forged an unlikely alliance with Sub-Zero, Liu Kang and Taven. He wishes to destroy the Horsemen for two reasons, The first is he believes with their destruction his soul can finally be put to rest, the second, an old enemy is within their ranks.
Sub-Zero-Finding himself one of the few surviving combatants and now hunted by the four horsemen. Sub-Zero find himself leader to this small group. He knows he is the one who must mold the others into the warriors they need to be to defeat the horsemen. But he wonders who will mold him.
Liu Kang-In the wake of Armegeddon, Liu finds his victory a bitter-sweet one. His soul and body have been reunited, however everyone he holds dear have died, even his precious Kitana. He declares himself the new defender of earthrealm, but first he has a very difficult task to take care of to proove his worthiness of the title.
Taven-Believed to be the one who would win Armegeddon by Argus, Taven idead rises victoious, along with the other champions. Realatively new to the art of Mortal Kombat, he is constantly learning from his three companions. He will need to stregthen his skills greatly if he is to help defeat the horsemen.
I have decided who the four horsemen will be and I will post them along with other ideas if you guys like what i've come up with so far. So tell me what you think.

It would be awsome to see have a feiw elite fighters survive the apocolypes and everyone else is dead. Then there would be more room for some new guys, ya know? But I would like it if in Konquest mode you can visit the dead characters like you got to in MKD with Lui Kang. If KungLao, ShaoKahn, Shang Tsung, Cyrax, Smoke, Kabal, Ermac, and Baraka(some of my favorite characters) are dead, then it would be pretty sweet if I could visit them in the afterlife.
