(Didn't know where to put this, but Off-Topic sounded okay.)
Anyway, I don't believe I have ever sworn so much in my entire life.
The story?
Well, I was just coming out of versus mode, and didn't know that it autosaves twice rather than once, and so I turned off the PS2 just as it started autosaving again.
Not my fault.
And so, I was like "Oh, shit." And hoped that it'd do what happened with my copy of Deception, i.e. corrupt the profile, and that'd be it.
Oh, no.
I come home, turn on my PlayStation, and there's not a single fucking profile to be found.
All eight of my profiles that I worked so hard on erased in 2 seconds.
I am ready to stab someone at this point in time.
Seriously. You have no idea how much time and how many Koins I spent just yesterday on moves.
I had like this supreme goddess character.
Plus seven other awesome KAFs.
And loads of Koins. And I'd unlocked so much stuff.

There is always 3 solutions to these problems:
1. Use a second memory card to back up your data
2. Back up your data on your computer (Transfer PS2 data to a PSP, then from the PSP to the computer)
3. Use a codebreaker/gameshark/actionreplay/anyotherdevice to just get everything back. Its not cheating, because you had already done the work.

Damn straight, Doug. I know what it's like to lose data as well, Madi, but this was on a different game. I used to play an RPG of LOTR: The Return of the King, and as I was saving my last part of it, my brother, who is completely stupid, resets the damn console because he wants to play is Madden 2005. I was so damn pissed at him when he corrupted my data.  I traded in the game because I decided I was better off without that game and that's when I decided to play Mortal Kombat. It's like you all said, it's hard to redo all of the stuff that you worked so hard to get and it's gone in the snap of a finger.

You know, -SubZero-, I might start playing computer games more because I've seen the riske and I know the consequences of resetting the console while it's saving. It, however, was not me that did that.

It sucks more because my best friend was going to come over, but now all my data has been wiped, I had to ask her to come again some other time when I did it all over again.

I'd play computer games more, but this computer has 3 hard-drives full to the brim of stuff. Not any space.
ARGH. This is going to take forever to redo.

That sucks man. I feel your pain.
Vain: are you sure you can copy saves from memory care to memory card, I know MK:DA does not let you copy save game files...it REALLY pissed me off cause I can't back up my MKDA GC Save file.

You have to get a third party device (like code breaker) to switch the data around. Tis a great way to back up any data.

The annoying thing is that I've already done this before. I did it with Deception, and was even more pissed off because I got all the way to Edenia and was damn proud of myself, but corrupted the profile by accidentally switching it off.
The profile being corrupted only stopped me from playing Konquest, so I was hoping that happened with Armageddon. Alas, it didn't.
Oh, and I'm sure you can copy saves from different memory cards just using your PS2. I know mine does that. Although I don't have MKDA, so I can't really try.
Ahaha. I was so proud of myself for getting as far as I did in Konquest, anyway, as I absolutely suck at videogames, even though I've been playing them since I was 3.
I didn't actually realise that now I have to do Konquest all over again. And after all that frustration and swearing at ninjas and monsters and arrow-shooters!

Yeah konquest mode the only two things that pissed me off the most in armageddon's one of course was the shao khan statue till i figured out myself what taven meant to do and the Skeleton one was a piss off too the first time but then the second time third time it was a breeze to do.

...I'm SOOO sorry...that sucks a LOT...and of course parents couldn't understand...my father laughed at me every time I got mad over playing games until he played Halo with me...he's never criticized me since...
