In the game, when you throw someone down in the air, what determine's whether or not they bounce back up to be air combo'd? Its wierd cuz sometimes they bounce back, sometimes they don't...
Can anyone enlighten me? _________________

I'm not really sure. It may depend on the specific character and the aerial combo they possess...I may be misunderstanding your question, though. Like, there are some characters that will do an aerial combo, throw their opponent to the ground, the opponent bounces back up, and you can do it all over again.

Okay, I'll try and be as specific as possible.
When I use Smoke, I teleport uppercut the opponent and he goes flying up in the air. I then jump back up and press O (PS2) and he gets thrown down, sometimes the oppponent bounces, sometimes he/she doesn't... very confusing _________________

My guess would be terrain. I haven't played MK7 yet, but I'm guessing that some terrains are enabled to do bouncing, while some aren't. What arenas does it not bounce back? Or does it just randomly happen (i.e. Sometimes the bounce up in Belltower, while two seconds later, it stops working) _________________

An Excellent question, Cybernetic Smoke. I was wondering the same exact thing about this deal. And it doesnt have much to do with terrain either as I would notice the opponent would bounce and sometimes, not bounce after an air hit to the ground in the same stage.
I tried holding down while hitting them and I get the same results. I also Tried tapping the down and punch to see what that does and again, the same deal.
It feels rather random if you ask me.
I'll keep experimenting. _________________ MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

What I've found is that, whenever I hit or throw an opponent to the floor from the air, and that hit or throw would normally make them bounce, they might actually force themselves NOT to bounce back up (almost like they're breaking their fall), and instead remain on the ground. (Possibly done with the Block button??)
That's what I reckon, anyway. _________________ "We don't choose to be what we are. Only who we are, what we do, and how much pie we can scoff down until we're well 'n' truely bloated."

That makes a whole lot of sense actually.
Have you tried this in the practice mode where the opponent's just a punch dummy? This would help solidify this theory. _________________ MORTAL KOMBAT!!!
