whats weird is in MK2 he vows to become the new sub-zeros protector, but in MK4, they are enemies again.

well, Liu Kang won MK2 anyway, so scorpion problably wasen't able to become Sub-Zeros protector.

Sub-Zeros older brohter was killed in MK, leaving his younger brother behind. It will always be a differnet sub. but in UMK3 The old Sub-Zero isn't really sub-zeros older brother, It was someone like him portraying the same garb.

I just beat the game as the classic Sub-Zero in MKT and it said that he somehow came back and would return in the next tournament, so Scorpion would reconize that it's the Sub that "murdered" his family and have a hatred for him

Scorpion was killed by sub-zero1. He goes to kill sub1 in the tournement but fails. Sub1 disappears into the darkness. When the second tournement comes, Scorpion heres of Subs return but when he battles his and wins, but realizes this is not the sub-zero who murdered him so long ago so he spares his life. Then in UMK3, the ORIGINAL Sub-Zero appears as well and the other one. Scorpion fails to kill him. The first sub-zero hasn't been seen since UNK3/MKT. Scorpion then bilieves that the sub-zero in MK4 is the one who killed him. He defeats him in battle, find out it was quan-chi who murdered his family and clan and sends himself and quan to the neatherealm.
Amphibious will get his revenge!!!

In the GBA advanced version of UMK3 - (MKA) if you beat the game with classic sub-zero, it says he retired and ran away. So you are right.

It says everywhere that Scorpion killed classic sub in MKone- and that would be the best story choice.
Mortal Kombat trilogy was a special combination of the three preceding games, and they didn't have to have a reason to put classic sub-zero, but they made one up anyway so fans wouldn't get mad.
But in truth, and what I beleive would be the best story wise, is that classic Sub died in MKone. It was meant to be.
