Hey guys Smile .
I was actually sitting back wondering about UMK3 on MK:A's premium disc. Is that any good? Or is it also filled with cheap shots found in Mortal Kombat Trilogy?
Is it insanely difficult? Are there options that can adjust its game play?
Any help will do.
If its a pain as MK Trilogy was, then I will think twice about purchasing the premium disc.

Peace Wink

It's the arcade perfect version of UMK3, so basically you get the best version of UMK3. It's decently difficult, and you can't switch difficulty's, least I don't know of a way you can, and as for it being like MKT, their two seperate games, kinda hard to compare the two, and it all comes down to personal likings.

Right on. Yeah, I had a few that would throw at me how pointless it would be to own both, but I was still very curious. Trilogy for PS1 just didnt cut it for me because of its ridiculous combo system and level of difficulty on very easy. I may not be the best gamer, but damn, it's leaps beyond difficult and not in a good way. You win by luck. I noticed the CPU would shift in difficulty after every fight you lose and continue. Screw it, I'll give it a go next week. Arcade perfect MK1 on Deception was sweet.
Thanks for the heads up Vain and smokish! Wink

UMK3 with the MKA Premium pack is the arcade version which is nice. But it has problems with slowdown, and with graphics flickering in and out. It's noticeable and a bit annoying.

Also the voices are a bit muffled and the game is a little bit slower than the arcade version, but other than that, it's good.

Interesting. I actually noticed the same symptoms on Deception's Premium Mortal Kombat 1 arcade game after I'd beat it. Especially on the ending where all the characters jump in to strike their winning poses. It slows down immensly. It left me wondering what the hay was going on since for one, its on a separate disc and is based on old graphics technology. And 2, Shouldnt the PS2 be able to handle such simple chores? And theres no music added within the ending credits.
I remember there being music while the credits go up.
Oh well, so much for "arcade perfect" eh? Wink
