You beat Trilogy on hard mode?? Youre a better gamer than I am. I barely make it out alive on easy. Laughing

Ive been looking for the right move list for Trilogy but all I get is the UMK3 list. I still dont know how to pull off Scorpions repeated kick move.

gamefaqs.com has some decent ones, though I am working on my own.

MKT isn't really hard, I once beat hard mode blindfolded (kinda like playing on dark mode)

As for Scorp's kick combo, I think you'll find it's HK, HK, LK, LK. (Which, if I remember right, deals just as much damage as his HP, HP, HK, B+HK combo.)

o.O but that kick combo is in UMK3 too. I guess you mean you just haven't found any FAQ's with combos?

There is a lot more coverage for UMK3 arcade than trilogy. But the combos are pretty straight forward to figure out in trilogy. I think Shock has been mulling over making character guides for the MKT characters like he did with the UMK3 characters over at ultimatemk.com. You can also just ask over there about any particular combos. Lots of people there will have answers.

Thanks for the info guys Smile
Yeah, I pretty much play with a second controller attached as my own practice mode while I figure out combos.

I never played UMK3 till about 2 weeks ago.
MK Trilogy feels strange sometimes (the addition of oldschool character models mixed with the newer renders is kinda hmmm...) and almost feels unfinished.

Ive yet to see any endings because on my PS2, it shows non after I beat it.
Crying or Very sad

I need to find my PS1.

There is an emulator called ePSXe for the computer that can play the game pretty well too.

It is a little weird with the older characters in there. I think the MK2 characters look alright, and the fact that Baraka and Raiden have the running frames and everything makes them fit pretty well, but then with MK1 raiden and MK1 kano it looks just plain weird. MK1 Kano is probably the worst, which is why they they made new animations for his ending stance and his heartrip fatality. The original animations were just too poor quality.

Hey yeah, I noticed that you can fight the MK1 version of Kano and Raiden, but I dont see those as selectable costumes.
I only see the MK3 Kano and MK2 Raiden.

Thats what makes this game even more strange.

Fun, but strange.
Also, Goro has to be one of the awkward looking sprites on the screen next to the newer settings and characters. hehe.

Who else comes out with their original MK1 appearance?
Is there a way to select alternate costumes in MKT? Confused

There are original versions of 4 characters in MKT: MK1 Kano, MK1 Raiden, MK2 Jax and MK2 Kung Lao.

You can use them all. Just choose one of these 4 characters by pressing either Start or Select button.

PS: In order to play as Chameleon, select any male ninja and hold Back + High Punch + High Kick + Block + Run until the fight begins. Probably no news for you.

Hope that helps, my friend Wink

I believe its the Select button that switches those characters between newer and older versions. And if you move the selector to Sonya and press Up and Start you'll hear an explosion and then you'll be able to select what level to play on.

Right on. Thanks!
Selecting Chamelion was definitely a mystery to me till now.
I only have about 2-3 weeks with MK:Trilogy now.

I loved how it looked the first time i loaded it, I cringed the minute i played and realized i was already dead lol, then embraced it after I learned about the combo system and finally, now play it every now and then when I need my MK classic fix!
hah BlaBla

Speaking of "classic fixes", maybe I should try playing MK4 again sometime soon.
