So god damn I just watched every shitty ending there was and again I was let down.
So who do you guys think should keep on into the next game? Who do you wanna see dead and why? Same goes with who should live and why?
I definitely could care less for Jarek, Dairou, Kai and Darrius. Probably the worst characters around. Just a bunch of dumbasses.
And you have the classics like Sub Zero and Scorpion who are pretty much foundations for the series. It just wouldn't be Mortal Kombat without the classic characters.

Whoa, so few survivors, but it makes some good sense. Me and some friends had a discussion earlier suggesting why kill off so many of them.
I understand some of the shitty characters and all but, killing off alot of the popular characters with a fan base could cost Midway alot of fans. Not that this games set of endings may have already.
I think allowing more of them to live will create a deeper universe for Mortal Kombat. Instead of competing every tournament, write them into the Konquest mode story, keeping us updated on what is going on and all.
And kililng off so many people is just going to make the fighter select screen look weak again. I can't imagine seeing less then half of these guys gone after seeing such a monster amount of choices. It just makes the game better giving such a broad and epic story with alot of great characters.

i hear you but ed said that 90 percent of the characters will die. btw, i used what was said on fight night and some of the character endings to come up with this list.

Yeah if they kill off sektor and cyrax and kitana and all the good ones i don't think ill even buy the next gen mk when i finally get a xbox 360 cause it wont be the same and great mk.

I just dont want to see Darrius,Dairou,Mokap and Ashrah.They're just chilin' around,DISGUSTING!!
The classic ones must be in the next MK games again(Sub Zero,Scorpion,Raiden are the most)and for the new ones Quanchi still has to be because after MK4 in MKDA and MKD in a point he created the story by stealing the Shinnok's Amulet,escaping,making the DA and creating the army of deads and after broken of the DA the Deception came.

Okay, rather than list a bunch of survivors and corpses, I'm just going to give my synopsis on the games "best" future plan:
SCORPION and SUB-ZERO are musts, they are he only characters that have been officially announced as survivers (in directly by pretty well implicated.) The franchise will plumet if they aren't in the next game. SONYA was also implied to make it, but I do not remember when I heard it. She, IMO is not needed. QUAN CHI must stay. He is the basis rival to just about every character now. And with an ending like Scorpion's, there's NO WAY they are going to just leave that. TAVEN should survive soley because he was introduced as a good guy and this one game didn't give him enough info to be apperciated. DAEGON, being an evil jerk, 't need to stay because he is just evil and won't be missed. LIU KANG will probably survive, but never be playable again. More like a spirual guider thing. No character aside from those are "essencial" to the storyline. I'm not saying that I don't want more survivors. I would love to keep a lot of characters, but I'm just being realistic.
Ed Boon is not killing off the characters for suspense, or to weaken the MK universe, he's doing it for two reasons and only those :
1. He is getting bored with the same characters and wating good ideas on remodeling for old characters
2. He is sick of hearning people get confused and complain about screwed up stortyline and konquests being uncanon. So he's "wiping the slate clean" in hopes to start over and not make such drastic mistakes again (good luck).
