Hey everyone, I just added some new costume pics. I made these entirely out of foam sheets and some glue from a glue gun. The mask was constructed out of thin cardboard as well as the shin guards and layered with foam sheets.
Simple and difficult at the same time.

C&C are welcomed. 
These are just color swaps. I will actually be making a Reptile and Ermac costume for the big convention coming next year, soon.
Man, I LOVE Mortal Kombat. Can you tell??

Nice one DarkSpecter like your website but when will you make a rain one or a Chameleon(chameleon mite be hard) those would look kick-ass.

I will be working on a Rain ninja version when I make Raiden. 
heres a color swap image shot of both Rain and Reptile.
The actual costumes will feature their own unique patterns and face piece.
Im going off my own ideas with heavy influence from previous games and movies.

What type of Raiden will you make like IMG]
 or the old raiden just plain white clothing with the hat.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Raiden from MK2.
I'll be honest, I ain't no costume maker by trade, these ninja outfits are the first of their kind from my grubby little hands. 
But since I received so much support from people everywhere, i decided to keep making as many as I could, starting with my favorites of course.
Im actually designing a Kitana and Jade costume for my two co-workers who said they were interested in joining the MK fun for the masquerade.
We need a third girl for Mileena.

Awww, dont let that stop you. After im done with all this costume making stuff (which is only a phase), I may post up step by steps on how to make one for yourself (that includes the male costumes too). All it is, is time consuming.
F1n1sh3r, I made these with foam sheets, just like I stated in the first post . Basically cut and pasting pieces of hand drawn patterns of foam sheets, together.
The face mask was made first out of cardboard. I do have the blue print of it which you can print out and work with at home. After I had the right shape (breathable), i would then layer it over with foam sheets, inside and out. And presto. Homeade MK ninja mask.

Yes I did!
Actually, each ninja costume comes out looking like Noob Saibot in the beginning stages, especially the mask.
But when I do get to Noob, I will be air brushing some tones to resemble the one in the latest game. Some very light highlights here and there to accentuate the details.
In general bro, I want to make all the ninjas. The toughest one will be Cyrax. I was recently given a paint ball mask that Im going to work off of. Im going to try to make it look as close to the game's character appearance as possible. And it is possible with some time and ingenuity of a huge nerd.

Yes sir I already have Scorpion's blind eye contacts. The frost and reptilian contacts will be specially ordered for Sub Zero and Reptile.
I wanted to order big green contacts for Ermac, but it was incredibly expensive to have specially made for me. (im talking about the ones that cover the entire eye and not just the iris and pupil)
Its been fun making these. More pics to come soon!

Yeah that the Ermac eyes would amazing but annoying as it cost a lot. Damn I can't believe I forgot about Subzero contacts silly me. Man I wonder how hard it is to make a inferno scorpion probaly damn hard.
