I definitely enjoy using all characters, male and female, but I'm sure Midway is naturally trying to relate to its users. Mortal Kombat is regularly a male-played game, thus male fighters would be considered as favourite (fan-enjoyable) characters. Of course many males enjoy using females just as much or even more, though they remain the minority.
I just agree that makes sense, I'd prefer 50/50 for both myself.

if you look at it females in games are more powerful than
male characters,the idea with a female as a boss sounds good too
they should have done that with MK3 with Sindel as the sub-boss

If they do an MKSM sequel, (taking place right after MK2), then, Either Sindel or Sheeva would be a subboss

...I definitely wouldn't mind Sindel or Sheeva as a major boss before Motaro. First they should stick to the story, and second I think Motaro would be a tight boss to fight. I just hope that in any scenario where they could be placed that they are used to their full potential and aren't 'freebies' in the sense of being easy to beat.
Sindel has very strong potential for future MK games, I just hope they're expressed how they should be.
