Ok, so by now, a good most of us have used the KAF system in MKAr. What I wanna see, is what to expect from future MK titles.

Do you think KAF will return to th next MK games?

What do you want add, fixed, changed, or removed?

As for me:

I want to say they'll add it to atleast MK8. After this experiment with it, I am looking foward to seeing it once more.

I feel like they needed to add more options to it. I was really sad to see that there wasn't much body options, like to make them fat or skinny, instead of muscle bound maniacs. As well as I felt like they could have added more of a varaty to the special moves. It just seemed to me like there were to many simular moves, and not enough original KAF moves. Which also reminds me, I hope to see more weapon styles. I was disapointd when I saw a lack of the Dual Sword, Staff, and Lance like styles, that are seen being used by many characters.

I would want it to return for MK8.

I think definately, there are so many things that can be added to clothing and facial features, and body parts that can make KAF really something.
I don't care much for body types, I mean, with Bo Rai Cho being the exception, who would wanna see overweight people or Nicole Riccies fighting?
Also, they NEED to include more kinds of weapons. Swords and Axes are not much of a variety. Also, I don't really like the idea of making your own fighting/weapon style. They can keep it in if they want, but they should have some styles already available for preseting.
More voice samples would be nice, including more unique special moves. For example, if I wanted to make a vampire, there are basically no good attacks fit for a vampire in MKA, so maybe that should be kept in mind for future KAF's.
But honestly, I was pretty happy with how it turned, giving that MKA was rushed.
I can't wait how MK8 will turn out knowing that the MK team has 2 years to work on it.

1. Not everyone shares that opion, some people like using fat people to fight with, along with super skinny people. Honestly, the muscle head look, gets old fast.

2. I LOVED making my own styles, that was perfect, what sucked was buying every single move...

3. uh.. they did have some preset styles, offensive, defensive, and balanced.

Voices could be better, but I'd rather they just allow you to pick from exsisting charcter voices,

1) Eh... true.
2) It was too much of a hassle for me to make my own style. For example, I had in mind to make my character use the Kenpo style, but it was not there for preseting. There was the Kenpo stance but I wouild have to assign the different attack moves, which sucks. Also, after doing this, when compared to Sektor (who uses the Kenpo style), the two completed movelists will not match.
I'm sure many people like making thier own style, but at least next time, the game can have a few existing styles already preset.
3) That's only 3, and not what I mean by preset fighting styles. I mean preset styles like Lui he bafa, Judo, Shotokan, etc.
4) Come to think of it, KAF-unique voice samples would be awesome.

Yea, but its not hard to look up what Secktor has in his movelist, and copy it over into your characters move list. It's a matter of taking the time to write it down and follow your own instructions.

That's what I just finished saying. Even if I took the time to look up what Sektor has under Kenpo it will NOT match what is offered in KAF mode.

Since you didn't get it the first time, let me explain:
(using PS2)
the combos used for KAF fighting styles are Square Square Triangle, Square Square X, Square Square, and X Triangle.
That does NOT match the combos for Kenpo under Sektor's movelist.
Plus, the default attacks such as Up/Down/Forward/Back+(any attack button) is not comepletely offered, so if Kenpo had an attack that was Up+X, the fighting style in the KAF wouldn't have it.

And yes, it is not that hard to look up what Sektor has, but it IS time consuming, so having preset styles would be VERY conveniant.

Still, you missed my point:

Point is, its possible to make the style simular, maybe not exact, but learn to deal with it! Its not hard to just take what your best with in the style, and modify it to fit your KAF's needs.

Also, who gives a shit if its time consuming, its either you sit and bitch how it cant be done, or you put TIME AND EFFORT into making to possible.

Now, can we get back to the topic about the FUTURE of KAF

Ahem.... What I am saying is completely relevant to the topic.

My statement was that I want the future KAFs to have preset styles.
My reason for this is convenience.
Obviously I don't have the time to disect the game to write down moves and spend the time to manually put in commands, (only to end up with something that doesn't exactly match to what I wanted in the first place).
As a fan of this series, I believe that my request isn't irrational and I know there are people who will agree.
That said, my ideas and opinions are directly attributed to the topic: the Future of KAF

Now, if you want a different statement that portains more to your idea of this topic, then how about this:
What if the next KAF had more options for species?

More species would be great, but at the same time, kinda unpractical. THey added everything that was already in the MK world, Zombies, Shokan, Cenituar (er... minotuar), Tarkatan, outworldian, everything. Unles they added more species to the game, i'd see it as kinda pointless, due to its Mortal Kombat, and not some other ame which features other species. besides, you can alrady make tons of different thins, if you know what you're doing, you can make:

Demons
Angels
Nekos
Cyborgs

just to name some off the top of my head.

They will definitley improve on it for the next game! They could of for Armageddon. Such as, the masks! You couldnt the wraps. Like, Ermac and Reptile. Also, the blood color couldnt be green. And no robo-voices. Different hair styles. I could make Goku but not Frost! Another thing that dissapointed me was that you could not make a shokan warrior! No 4 arms? Whats up with that?! Twisted Evil
