Haven't seen a topic about this.
But what does everyone think about this way midway went with fatalities in armageddon.
I have mixed feelings about it. For one reason it's a great system the first time but then it get's boring cause each player does the exact same fatality.
Of course some of them have Weapons you can use to make it almost different but still then. I don't know if it's only me that misses the way it was from deception all the way back to old console days but i really do.
Don't get me wrong armageddon isn't even close to a bad game but it just loses it's addictiveness without the classic fatalities.
One way they could of made this system work me and amphibious agreed on is if they still put in the classic fatalities into this system so for example you do the mini fatalities till you strung up about 8 or 9 then the 10-13 ones could of been a classic fatality they would of did like Scropions toasty and such.
But that's my output on it i feel free for hearing other people's opions on this. _________________

Well, my opinion si totally different: I love the new fatality system.
Don´t get me wrong- I liked the old system, but it became quite boring for me: You just entered the fatality code and then watched the same fatality again and again.
The new system is very creative and forces you to put some effort into killing your enemy. And after performing 11 hit fatality, I really feel like king of the universe (not mentioning it took me sooo many attempts to defeat my opponent)
PS: I wouldn´t mind seeing character specific finishers, but I don´t really care, my favorite finisher has always been decapitation  _________________ DEVELOPER DIARIES

I feel that the new Fatality system betrays everything that MK stood for. The bizarre fatalies were the reason why MK was so popular, and they take that away for what? Some punches, kicks, arm rips, and decaps? I wanna see something crazy, something funny, yet disturbing.
Now instead of seeing 20-something unique and freaky death scenes, you now have the characters just doing the same damn thing.
Ed Boon said himself in the MK history video that he acknowledges that fans don't want reality when it comes to MK. I mean, sure, I feel that it's a good idea to costumize your fatalities to some degree, but it's annoying that you have to remember all those frigin combinations (and not like 4/5 buttons like the old fatalies, you have to remember 11 different little sequences), and most of the time, you can't even see what your character is doing, because you have to concentrate on what buttons you're pushing.
If they want to include this new system in the future, they better have some unique fatalities already preset, just like before.

I, for one, hate this system! When I first got it, It made me nervouse that I wouldn't be able to do one. Took the fun out of the beginning of the game. Later, I remembered all the combinations and, by that time I was bored with seeig the same thing. Took the fun out of the middle. Now, I've moved on to using weapon fatalities and, IMO, most of the weapon finisher capables totally suck in kombat.
Not to mention the subtle glitches and flaws that I haven't figured all the way out. I can do a specific sequence one time, and then, I can't seem to do that sequence when I do it to certain characters.
I also love when the characters merge when they get into a corner and you can't do ANY combinations.
Oh, and one more thing! I like getting 500 koin fatalities. It sure would be nice if there was a way to do a 500 koin one arm decapitation or a two arm decapitation. Too many problems with it.
IMO, they should have given you life, five seconds or so to punch in as many combinations as you could and whatever you got done, it would just play out like an old-fashioned Fatality.
To be quite honest, am I'm seriously not lying here, I have NEVER turned this game off out of bordom. The only reason I ever turn to game off is when I do, yet another, fatality that doesn't work like it did two senconds ago and I get pissed off and turn the thing off. So many things about this game irritate me so fast I don't get the chance to get bored.
Sorry for all the typing. I hate reading at forums. But it's been so dead lately I'm venting. _________________

Ok, personally:
1. I love the idea, and I rather enjoy the system:
A. It provides a great new means of the fatalities
B. it allows for the user to create their own unique fatality every time, instead of just seeing the same 1-2 fatalities over and over again
C. It provide the chalange to rookie and expert players to see how high the combonation of moves they can get for their fatality
2. I think it was kinda lacking
A. Out of everything in it, i found myself repeating a lot of the same moves
B.Could have offered more moves, such as neck bites, leg rip offs, eye rips, ect...
C. Can be hard to pull off when the game starts getting glitchy _________________

I like the new system as well, but I also felt that certain things that Vain already mentioned, like the neck bites and leg rips, were left out of the game, but all in all, the new system is really good.  _________________ Highest Kreate-A-Fatality: 11 (Ultimate Fatality)

When most of the people that are complaining about it can do the full 11 fatality combo, I think they know how to use itl, and most of them without the stratigy guide. _________________
