I liked it. But I don't think that I came at the right time.
The past couple have hinted more toward Raiden's story. We've been left totally dry for almost a week and now the bio comes out and it seems more like a Liu Kang bio. I like the bio, I do. I like what it explains, where it goes, it's great. But having left us wondering for so long, I expected it to ecplain WHY Raiden is evil. Not just "that he's pissed."
Also, this rises some other questions :
1. Why did Shinnok choose this time to show up?
2. how did he free himself from his confines?
3. If Shinnok is the only evil leader not in the Konquest meeting in Shao Kahn's tower, why is he asking for Raiden's aid. I mean, did Raiden have all these evil meetings for the hell of it?
4. More random. IMO they might play with this Houan thing and have a new character in later games be a revived member. That's not a question Shadow.

Raiden's bio was good, I'll admit. Bloodyshadow, how Shinnok escaped the Netherrealm will be revealed in his bio, well, when they reveal it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Raiden was evil in the fact that he made a deal with Shao Kahn, who is notorious for being deceitful. The deal, which is explained in Armageddon's Konquest mode, says that Raiden was to prevent Taven from claiming the prize and in return, Kahn would recognize Earthrealm's independence. The truth is that Kahn would not have recognized Earthrealm's independence if he defeated Blaze. According to Kahn's ending, he would conquer everything and then go mad because there was nothing left to conquer.

I agree with bloodyshadow on this one. I mean for the Biography you think it would talk all about raiden in his one not about liu kang and stuff. To me with the way there doing these bio's some seem non canon for me also same as there ending in a kinda way.

Jeesh, relax. They've only released 5 bios so far and there is 57 more to go. I'm sure at least one of them will crossover into more of Raiden's story somehow. That's what I like about Mk's storytelling: You have to read pretty much all of the bios to understand what's going on.
I mean, we pretty much know Liu Kang's story already by reading these 5 bios and his bio isn't even released yet.
Anyhoo, It's more realistic that way because it demonstrates how the character interact with each other.
Also, I kinda am disappointed that some feel that even these bios are noncannon...
How can y'all say that?? I mean, we should be greatful that the Mk team is releasing these bios for us, so we should take these bios as the final say.

...the biographies are longer than ever and I find them totally canon so far...perhaps somewhat hard to believe...though that's not to say the story is flawed...
...anyways...the only flaw I find is timing with Nightwolf's biography...Nightwolf needs to practice his skills to aide Kang in becoming human though here's Rayden's biography claiming he already did it...so what does Nightwolf do next? Unfinished...Nightwolf is a silent bad-ass...commonly over-looked...and I'm surprised his biography wouldn't be so pointless...
