"It used to be, when there was a threat to Earthrealm, that Raiden would rally the Forces of Light to face the enemy in Mortal Kombat. Somehow he could always discover the truth behind the deception. I was one of his allies and fought with him against the Forces of Darkness. In those early days Liu Kang was the point man, he was the star. The rest of us played supporting roles, clearing the way so he could take on the main threat.
But times have changed. Raiden has abandoned us. He's become darker, using more ruthless ways to keep the "peace." And Liu Kang was killed. Though his spirit is still around to help us, eventually he'll pass on into the Heavens. It seems like we have no clear leader. We're just not the fighting force we once were. We're scattered all over the realms. Maybe it's because there hasn't been a real threat since we took care of the Dragon King, I don't know. But I can't help but feel uneasy about the future. I used to think, "What if there's a new threat? Who's gonna lead us?" With Raiden gone, how would we even tell when something bad is about to happen?The answer came soon enough. I started having visions of someone we had defeated years ago: I saw the Fallen Elder God Shinnok plotting something and I decided to find out what. In my visions I could see Shinnok in different locations, conjuring these communication portals to give orders, which I couldn't quite understand, to his minions. I followed him, finding each place I saw in my visions, and always there was evidence that he had in fact been there. My visions weren't dreams after all. Shinnok was back!
In my last vision, I clearly heard Shinnok say the next place he was going to contact his minion from was Shang Tsung's island fortress. That place has played a big part in the fight between good and evil. It seemed fitting that I would confront Shinnok there.
When he finally showed up, I watched him for a while, to try to get some idea as to what he was planning. Was I surprised to see that the "minion" in the portal was Quan Chi! Shinnok ordered him to gather the Forces of Darkness and retake Shao Kahn's fortress in Outworld. When he dismissed the sorcerer, I approached Shinnok. He was startled and immediately conjured up a skeleton hand to trap me. I jumped out of the way and followed with a Shadow Kick to the chest. I pummeled him, and he never regained his composure. The coward escaped in a cloud of smoke... a teleport of some kind, I suppose.
I seem to have discovered the next great threat to Earthrealm. Now I need to find the others. I'll need their help if I'm going to defeat Shinnok's forces. The fate of Earthrealm depends on me. "

i hope it is johnny cage as the new leader of the good guys would rule. imagine him as the new main character in mk8 that would be awsome

That Johnny cage biography is way better then the last ones that came out. Hopefully they do Scorpion or Cyrax or Kitana ones next as im eager to see there bios.

I wasnt a big Johnny Cage fan after MK Trilogy. (he was awesome in MK2)
But I think that if they really make him a top character in the next game, it will do a great deal of help to him in terms of character developement.
Like Vain said, "more than just a comic relief".
They better do him justice.

Honestly, I personally believe that Shinnok sent him these ´visions´, then made him believe he´s much stronger and much more important than he really is (=he´s the ´leader´ of the Forces of Light) and thus lured the Forces of Light into the final fight. In this case, Cage would be only Shinnok´s new (unknowing) tool. But we have to wait until we´ll find out the truth. But if he´s really the new leader... no problem 
Quan Chi as Shinnok´s minion again?

What sucks is they don't make the bios savable to your desktop so you could keep them all in one folder for a collection in case the site ever get's taken down.

I really liked Johnny's bio, he's always been my favorite character and I think it's pretty cool that he stepped up to become the leader of the good side.

I never really like Johnny Cage, so I wouldn't mind if he wasn't in MK8.
And I don't think he's a good leader.

Well, Apophis, let's not forget that it said in Cage's bio that Raiden deserted the forces of Light and that Kang's spirit was eventually going to go to the Heavens. Without Cage uniting the forces of Light, there would have been nothing to oppose what Shinnok had planned. I never really liked Cage, but I do see that he is a good leader, well, without Raiden or Liu Kang there to help.

I think he's too overconfident to be a good leader.
There has to be someone else to take the lead like ... Kenshi ...
I wouldn't mind if the bad guys win.
But I do hope Quan Chi kicks Shinnoks *** and takes over the command.

There I agree with you, but Kenshi, at first, refused to take part in the battle, but his sword guided him there. This is from Kenshi's bio. Kenshi's vengeance and looking for Shang Tsung is a weakness that prevents him from being a good leader, just like Cage's overconfidence is a weakness for him. Cage is a good leader because he has the fighting abilities to back it up. I don't really like him, but he has the fight in him to back up the trash he dishes out to his opponents, with the exception of when he was killed by the Forces of Darkness a long time ago. On the subject of Quan Chi, though, treachery is to be expected. Evil rulers are known to be backstabbers in order to gain more power. Why do you think the Deadly Alliance failed? It was because of a lust for power between Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. It is because of this that Quan Chi could do so and take the glory for himself. Personally, I wouldn't mind, either, if the Forces of Darkness won for a change.
