I LOVE IT!!!!! I can't wait to see the new MK game. Im not buying a new console until the MK is released for it. Thats my only reason to purchase a new console. I know insane. Its the same thing I did when Metroid Prime came out for GC, I ended up buying the GC for it. This whole darker thing is reeeally getting me jumpy! I agree about the silly fatalities being replaced with more serious and sinister ones, but for some reason, I did allow myself to appreciate the one's currently popped in the games. The only fatalities I felt were sort of hard to swallow, where those of MK3. Jax giant boot!? AYE!! But I understood why Ed Boon had that going. It did help steer the bad publicity and possible ban from ever happening. MK however was banned in some countries wasnt it? Ahh well, another subject for another topic.
