If a new ninja is to get involved the MK line, I would thing it would be ok as long as it replaces another.
Im a big ninja fan and I dont want to say no, but smiley does have a point. 8 Ninjas are already packed in the roster.
Although, I would only consider Scorpion and Sub-Zero the ninjas now as the rest look far from a stealth ninja. Having a V tunic doesnt help much.
I dunno..
What the hey, 8 ninjas and many more non-ninjas are already in the game. I guess one more wouldnt hurt. Well, not me at least.
It is rather funny though... We'll have a ninja of every color..
I already made one in KAK. It was somewhat satisfying, but not too much.
I guess I feel a little indifferent about this one.

Well, as much as I am a fan of the ninjas, I have to draw the line with the ninjas we already have. The biggest problem is that you can't have too many ninjas involved in the games because the fans will eventually tire of having ninjas in the games.

But again, we go back to the technicals, where Scorpion is techniaclly the only real ninja, Rain's a prince, Reptile's a reptilian assasin, Sub-Zero is a chinese assassin, Noob Saibot is a recon man first, fighter second, Ermac is a huge collection of souls, ect...
As for seeing a white ninja, I think it'd be kinda needed. You figure, theres a 50/50 Sub-Zero and Scorpion will atleast make an apperence in MK8, but the thing is, MK is known for having atleast 1/3 of their roaster being ninjas, or close to one third.
MK1: 2/7 playable characters were ninja
MK2: including females, 5/14 playable characters are ninja
MK3: including the cyber ninjas, 4/15 ninjas
MK4: 4/15 were ninja
MKDA: 6/21 were ninja
MKD: 7/24
So i'd expect them to keep some form of a ninja/other character ratio.

The only questions I'd have left to ask are what would be the ninja's name, what alignment would he have, and which, if any, clan of ninja would he belong to?

Yeah that's what i was thinking too the creators would have a hard time thinking of a name but hey it's a sure thing for them cause you got to remember at first they didn't even know what to call sektor and cyrax so they called them ketchup and mustard.
So the same thing they can do with the white ninja if they make one is just give him a temp name till they come up with one that matches it.
The moves could be sorta like new moves you haven't seen from other characters.
Just cause the ninja would be white doesn't mean they could just give him sub zero's freeze ball move and stuff. They could come up with cool new moves for him to make him feel different. Like they did with the other 7 ninja's.
That's what the mortal kombat team does amazingly well each time they seperate the characters moves from the others. Sure on some of them like kira they gave her one of kano's rolling move and sonya's kiss of death But that's not that bad. Now that there working on a new game for the next gen they got all the tools to make a white ninja that might even attract tons of fans and might make that one they make a favorite in fans eyes. Just a thought.

I see no problem with introducing ninja or ninja type characters for MK8. I mean, they're wiping the slate clean, right? we're not gonna have eight thousand ninja runnin around anymore, so why not add a couple new, fresh, partially-covered ninja faces to the MK8 mix?

I would say yes, a new ninja, white or other would be pretty cool, coz if you really think about it, how many ninjas are even going to make it into the next MK? subby and scorp, I cant see anyothers. So, there will have to be some new peeps, and the includes ninjas!!!

You know, technically, they already made a white ninja in an older Mortal Kombat game, and that was human smoke back in MK trilogy for the N 64.

...anywhy...perhaps they could make this ninja...what ability would he obtain? Perhaps clouds...though that sounds just like smoke...or milk...heheh...
...I'm thinkin'...perhaps...something new, not an element like normal, though a pure side of a wicked warrior that dies off...the same as in many character 'dark sides'...though a pure side in its stead...
...it would have to be a classic character...let's say Noob...nobody wants Noob to die...entirely...so his wicked soul dies and with such arguing over its purpose, splits in two...the dark side to hell and the pure is rebirthed...though his storyline does not show it and he is unaware until some drastic result revealed in his ending...
...but I'm just throwin' out ideas...I think a white ninja sounds kind o' cool...
