What people are forgetting though the ones that are saying we have enough ninja's already. The fact is most of them might not be in mortal kombat 8 as they say most of the old characters get killed off. Right now we know scorpion and sub zero will be back for sure. So that means reptile,ermac,chameleon,rain might all get killed off meaning we wouldn't have alots of ninja's only 2 if you look at it that way.

...precisely...as well...remember...their costumes will not simply be the average classic look though all new ninjas (ignoring technicalities) have quite complex designs and appearances meaning he will just be a ninja-type warrior with a white-based wardrobe...
...why wouldn't there be a white ninja?

I have never forgotten the fact that Sub and Scorpion will be probably the only ´ninja´ characters who will ´survive´ Armageddon. I´m just saying that (for me) even just 2 ´ninjas´ are ENOUGH. 
For me personally one original ´non ninja´ character is more wortwhile than 3 ´ninja´ characters. And I´d be glad if the new roster of characters could offer us many new original characters.
Besides they can always return some of the other ninjas in future (MK9 etc.) games (ermac! Ermac! ERMAC!).

I think by bringing in Chameleon they have pretty much closed the book on any more new ninjas to be fair.
And with Chameleon appearing as a real character (Rather than just a mimic of other characters) in Armageddon (with btw is probably the "whitest" outfit we will probs see) there is little chance of any more ninjas or at least traditional MK ninjaiod characters..
Not saying I agree with it.
The brown ninja in MK:Special Forces known as Tremor never made it into any of the combat games. I mean he was originally going to appear on MKT but Rain beat him to it. If any new ninja should appear its him at least.
And I count Reiko as a ninjaiod type character because of the style of his outfit in MK4. Identical to Sub Zeros and Noob Saibots except it was a crimson colour.

Green Dragon has a point here. They haven´t introduced any new ninja character ever since MKT (Chameleon). Maybe they really aren´t interested in creating any more ninja characters, when the pallete swaps era is over. Just a thought

Well with whatever direction they go in mortal kombat 8 hopefully the new characters they make there decisions one are good and not ones that suck like in past mortal kombat mostly deception and brought over to armageddon. Like characters like Kobra and Kira. I know some people might like Kira as a new character that was added in deception but to me they just kind of made her into a female version of kano with the same moves almost. We need brand new chracters with new moves and all for them to be great new characters we can respect.

...perhaps...though understand the 'element' concept...as in many fan-hyped games the characters relating to specific elements create the largest fan-base...and as seeing the ninja-suits with their representing color we know their element and that was the rise of many (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Rayden)...
...let me just say a mass of new characters with fresh stories and ideas of such sounds great...though without these specific bad-asses with easy fan-correspondence the game will faulter and specific characters will not be regular hard-core fan-loved warriors to keep people buying game after game...
...more ninjas makes sense to me...simple and fan-happy...original stories with similar look...no big deal...a white-based ninja may save this game...though we can only hope he won't have to...

Personally, I think that if they are to introduce any new "ninja" kombatants, they should - at the very least - introduce a few more female ninjas. Haven't seen enough of 'em lately, IMHO.

...the over-use of the term 'ninja' I assumed was irrelevant through-out the topic...alas should that be the case then there is definitely a lack of male ninjas...nevertheless I find, just as males, many new 'ninjas' will be necessary to introduce in MKVIII...

I like the idea of a white ninja, but he'd have to be completey different from the rest of them. Like I've noticed almost all the ninjas have a caucasian appearance, and none of them hail from Seido or the Chaos Realm. Perhaps something could be made from those guidelines?
For his name, well I suppose Silver would be cool enough since his armour would be made from it. His alliegence could be neutral, perhaps he (like Kabal and Daegon) leads a new clan that could rise to great power should he win a Mortal Kombat tournament. As long as he has only a short amount of special moves and uses two handed blades as his weapons Id be happy, i was disgusted that Ermac and Noob had weapons so slow and sluggish! Ninjas represent speed, let their weapons be fast I say!
