Well, even though some of the old ninjas will be replaced, the idea of having a white ninja would still sound a bit farfetched. It's just that we've seen ninjas with all kinds of powers, but with a white ninja, we still have to wonder what kind of power he/she would have and what exactly would be the story behind this white ninja.

yeah thats a great idea, couldnt think of a better rwason for a white ninja myself it wou.d have to be an interesting storyline though.... so im still unsure about a white ninja

hell yeah! but, if they do make a white ninja, i'd like for dem to get creative wit it. you know, instead of rippin' moves from other ninjas, (or anything like dat), try some new shit. since mk8 iz gonna be usein' da unreal engine, if dey do put a white ninja, maybe it'll give da game a fresh look?

It is doubtful that they would try and copy some other character's moves, as about 85-90% of the original cast is gonna be killed off after Armageddon. They most likely will be original with this new ninja, if they decide to make a white ninja. The only questions I have are what his/her alignment will be, where he originated, and what kinds of moves they will use because with a new cast these moves will be original. The only ninjas, if they do decide to copy their moves, which is highly unlikely, would be Scorpion and Sub-Zero, as they are the two most likely to survive. The other characters are the ones that we are not sure about.

The idea for another ninja would be good but there seems to be enough
ninjas in the Mk series.What I would do is like make one of the least
important characters die and let another one take his/her space.
Like in the starting of star wars 3 were anakin chopped off that guys
head and the chancellor took his place.

i think everyone has a good point but as doug said there wiping the slate clean for mk8 so strictly speaking anything goes.
the white ninja gets a yes from me but id like to see him/her have powers of light since white symbolises purity and light so that would also mean a good alignment

And what about Ashrah? She´s trying to purify the realms, but she doesn´t mind killing her opponent (in the name of love). You know, we´re just humans (or demon in her case) and after a long battle, when you´re tired, covered in blood and pissed off, it´s just normal to cut off a head, or two

Perhaps they could give Chameleon a white version of his Armageddon attire in the next game as an alternate costume? Instead of teal he could be white, beats making room for another ninja!

What do you mean, "another white ninja"? Human Smoke was non-canocal, so technically he isn't a ninja. You could only play as him in UMK3 using a code. That would be the first white ninja, you can say.

Dude, that's not true at all. It was true for UMK 3 that you had to pick Smoke and use a kode in order to access him, but he did not only appear there. Mortal Kombat Trilogy included him as a character. He was developed to show Smoke before he became a cyborg for the Lin Kuei. All of the cyborgs used to be human. Sektor and Cyrax were both human as well. They all were Lin Kuei clan members as well. Human Smoke was not noncanonical at all. In other words, you cannot go around and say that Human Smoke was not technically a ninja, and on the topic of a white ninja, Sm0keH, we mean a new ninja. One with new powers, a different look, and a different background.
